For most of the last 41 years I’ve had the highest performance level Mustang available, other than limited edition R models. I also skipped what I considered a not that limited production GT350 R because at the time my boys still fit in the backseat.

Cars I had:
82 GT

89 5.0 LX

83 GT convertible (concurrent with the 89)

94 Cobra

96 Cobra

99 Cobra

03 Cobra

13 GT500

14 GT500

17 GT350

And now, 2021 GT500 CFTP

Again now my boys are older so I’m clear for the two seat version.

Bought the car out of Texas, it should arrive tomorrow.

I’ve been off the forum for awhile trying to contain my urge to get one, and I want to make sure I didn’t miss any key information.

So, first must haves?

Some PPF is a given

Jacking rails? If so, who’s?

Roll bar? Again which one, anyway to still get the lighter one ?

4G severing? Which of the various methods do I do? Pull the fuse, disconnect the module in the trunk? Switch to the round puck antenna?

Thoughts appreciated!

Congratz! I would love to add a Shelby to my collection.

I have the Steeda Jacking rails, they are great.

May find something at Bemaro films to spicy up your interior or exterior

You might consider spare tire

May want add this chassis plaque + getting rid of the ugly coolant reservoir with Steeda or Mishimoto.

Congratulations!

Fuse pull - seems to be simplest choice for the 4G disconnect. Others may disagree.

Tint - if it fits your own lifestyle/taste, & perhaps a sunny geography, you might consider when doing PPF.

Jacking Rails - long versions may be a bit easier, if you are a current or future fan of Quick Jacks.

Safety Equipment
- several options for roll bars, & restraint mounting bars. Probably a personal choice. We build our own so cannot speak to other brands.

Rock Blockers from JLT, are worth $$, even if you don't use them all the time. (You will) Small stones collect quickly behind the front tire.

I bet your excited for the arrival of the car!

It's quite an amazing feat in engineering w/all its systems working in congruency.
Any 1 of its features could be easily added to another car if less stature. Yet, all of the features engineered into it in consort, makes this car both a drag race, & road race - weapon - literally on the same day... Within the same hr even, if desired.

It lives up to the Carroll's legacy, even w/out adding nearly anything to it.
Enjoy!

Obviously it has tint, and what I didn't know is it has PPF as well!

Beautiful car, love the black roof with Rapid Red.

Steeda full length jacking rails here. I wouldn’t necessarily say jacking rails are a must have but they are very much nice to have, especially if you’re lifting your car frequently.

Congrats! Miles? How much PPF coverage?
2400 Miles, still investigating the PPF, looks like everything forward of the doors but none on the doors or the rear quarters.

Gorgeous car. I would add ppf on the front of the rear quarters. There is a kit for gt350's that fits the same back there. The sticky front tires will kick up some debris. Not needed behind the wheels, the plastic trim stops it all.

I had my GT350 done with those, I'll have to investigate.

I feel like a have a lot of already answered (stupid?) questions.

What is the sync 3 app, and do I want to add it if I plan to disable the modem hardware? I already disabled the modem in software.

Very cool car, love that color!

Honestly, I would buy some light weight aluminum wheels like Apex for it.

Those CF wheels, I wouldn't use them on the street, repairs seem like a giant pita. And the things are not cheap, but man they look awesome!

Enjoy the ride!
