I am running 295/35/20 at the moment and I am going to replace them with 315/35/20, as I think 305/30/20 with make the gap bigger on a unlowered car

I think i'm going to go with 305/35 incase I decide to lower the car later. I'm worried the 315 will throw too many rocks. Love the hood on yours! That looks killer.

I cannot decide what tire size to go with on the rear. Car is stock ride height and will stay that way for the foreseeable future. Had these left over Velgen VF9's from my last car and think they look great on the new one. Currently have a 305/30 on the rear. The last car was lowered and that size was perfect.
Should i go 305/35 or 315/35? I'm thinking 305/35 should fill in the gap pretty well. If anyone running a 305/35 20 on a non-lowered car send me a pic.

305/30 is 27.2" tall
305/35 is 28.4"
315/35 is 28.7"

Thanks

Here’s mine (not a Mach though) on 285/35/20. The Mach sits slightly lower than a non-Magride GT if I recall. Stock, non-Magride suspension. 305/35/20 is a pretty tall tire compared to the stock size, 295/35 might be a better option. You’ll start messing with the effective gearing unless you change your tire size with Forscan.

wheels came in now waiting on Levittown to deliver the HP Wheels. I’ll mount them and upload some photos and ride measurements.
just a recap, ordered Michelin Ss 295/305 35 19. And more importantly my wife doesn’t know I’ve ordered wheels yet so I hid the tires somewhere she’ll never find them…

Anyone else purchase the HP wheels set from anywhere? I got mine from Levittown. So far two have come in and they seem to have very small dings and imperfections on the inside of the rim. Is this normal for casted wheels? (Hard to photograph)
Also, quite the paint job…

that seems decidedly shitty even for a $1000 wheel set. I would take this as motivation to take it to your local powder-coat guy to put a proper color on them. :)

How heavy are those? Any reason you didn't buy the lighter, flow-formed wheels from LMR etc?

Yeah I’m not flipping out, they were like 1300 before shipping. it just seems a bit poor craftsmanship, but I don’t have a ton of wheel knowledge so I posted here to see what others think
Funny, you mentioned that I’m actually taking the wheels to Wheel doctor in Miami which fixes and paints wheels etc. I’ll ask them about it. Not sure what color I’d do other than a lighter, more classic stainless look?
SVE wheels… contemplated this for weeks and I almost went with them. Ultimately I want to “replicate” the handling package look and stance. I went for the extra half inch(front wheel 10.5” instead of sve 10”)…I weighed “looks” over weight reduction as I’ll probably track the car 3 times a year and these cars’ got PLENTY of getup to pass that one a$$hole going 55mph in the left lane every now and then.

It doesn't. But I was talking about the outer rim.
Yeah, the dings suck ofc, then again they're on the inner side of the wheel in the photo. If they were on the outer side, I'd ask for replacement.
I didn't have any dings on mine, the wrapping was pretty good in solid thick paper boxes (and they travelled like 6000 km to me).

Yeah this doesn’t seem like shipping damage, but probably just from the casting process? 🤷‍♂️

also, just confirming that it’s on the inside

Concerned about tiny tiny imperfections on the mass produced heavy AF Ford cast wheels? on the INSIDE of the rim? I'm not even sure the Concours d'Elegance judges will notice that.

Wait until you see what the tire shop monkey's do to them.

I'd be more worried about the wife sniffing out the tires :p

A lot of tires don't even have a good coat of paint on the side rim edge, FWIW. Glad you've got a sense of humor!
