Hi all, I have lowered the price to $1250 for the wheel set, including rims in new condition and tires with only about 2000 miles or less. The scent is pretty much new.
I used a metal tape from Home Depot than ordered this black metal tape. Both same quality. You can use this one that I shared link to.
Made up of a few layers. I installed a horizontal layer first. Then another layer perpendicular. Than another layer. So I can firmly press down on it and doesnāt...
Like @Hakon I couldnāt stare at those covers, knowing that they could serve a better function! So I removed the lid completely and using metal tape, connected it to the intake directly, making a ram intake function. Then used a strip of electrical tape to make a nice smooth circular ring over...
Both an M1 and a GT are going to feel quite similar, specially being driven around town. If it were me, I would go for the car that might retain its resale value, which in this case would probably be the Mach1 one over a GT. Good luck and happy retirement.
I think the general pop here feels the sameā¦
The s650 is not an āuglyā car, itās just a hodgepodge or modern design elements focused on attracting Gen Z. Ford admitted this already. And it doesnāt bother everyone.
BUT then thereās the Mustang enthusiast, the purist, that truly appreciate...
Not a bad idea to prevent rust! Iāll proabbly do the same. Iād probably get a pliers and wrap a towel around and clamps it back as flat as possible?
amazing idea! Just curious, do you remember appx how much they sold the second set to you for at the dealer? Is it about the same $1400 they are now?
I was thinking of getting the SVEās for the track since theyāre about 10 pounds lighter per wheel š¤š§
I bought my M1 late 2023 and was considering both⦠I think one day Iāll buy an S650, but I genuinely enjoy the body lines of the S550 better. Thereās more resemblance the late 60s Mustang heritage. Donāt even get me started on the ss650 interior!
Iām starting to accept the new generation...
HP wheels mounted.. I think they donāt photograph as well as they look in person.
Will probably get a set of APEX wheels for the track in the future but just super happy with the HP look (and m5300w springs)
So just wanted to follow this up now that I have installed the HP wheels (Michelin super sport (295/35 and 305/35 19ā).
compared to the base wheels, the ride did drop more noticeably in the front although itās hard to get a perfect comparison since Iāve installed the fender flare.
I think it...
Yeah this doesnāt seem like shipping damage, but probably just from the casting process? š¤·āāļø
also, just confirming that itās on the inside
Yeah Iām not flipping out, they were like 1300 before shipping. it just seems a bit poor craftsmanship, but I donāt have a ton of wheel knowledge so I posted here to see what others think
Funny, you mentioned that Iām actually taking the wheels to Wheel doctor in Miami which fixes and paints...
Anyone else purchase the HP wheels set from anywhere? I got mine from Levittown. So far two have come in and they seem to have very small dings and imperfections on the inside of the rim. Is this normal for casted wheels? (Hard to photograph)
Also, quite the paint jobā¦
So Iāve done a bit of research trying to find methods of reducing weight while still keeping the car good as a daily driver. Looks like you can replace doors, panels, driveshaft, things like that, but will cost thousands and thousands of dollars to ultimately shed 10-30lbs in the end.
Why not...
wheels came in now waiting on Levittown to deliver the HP Wheels. Iāll mount them and upload some photos and ride measurements.
just a recap, ordered Michelin Ss 295/305 35 19. And more importantly my wife doesnāt know Iāve ordered wheels yet so I hid the tires somewhere sheāll never find themā¦
