I just ordered my Mach 1 HP last week (first Mustang purchase), and am wondering what other Mach 1 driver's are running as their winter wheels/tires.

I plan on driving it all year as my DD, and am pretty much decided on running all seasons like the Conti DWS or Michelin PS A/S 4. I need the flexibility to go on road trips from Michigan to the southwest in the winter (SoCal desert/Death Valley) so a good set of all seasons makes the most sense.

I'm leaning toward ordering a set of the GT PP1 wheels (19x9F/19x9.5R). My gut says that these should fit the car fine along with 255/40/19F & 275/40/19R tires, but has anyone had fitment issues with these? Did they look OK?

Another idea could be the GT PP2 wheels (19x9.5F/19x10R) with 275/35/19F & 285/35/19R tires, or a set of HP wheels using those same tires (though HP wheels are sold out right now).

Most say regardless of the tires, you can't or should not drive the Mach in the freezing temps. True?

No. Only if the tires aren’t suitable, like the Cup 2’s.

Completely false. Who are these people that say that?

Whether or not you should, that's up to each particular owner. But the car is very much capable, Ford tests their vehicles from -50*F to over 100*F.

okay, the diehard northern place the car in storage saying the suspension on the Mach makes it ver dangerous. It could be they just don't want to cause harm from salts..

I lived in the Northeast for 65 years. It is the salt thing. Really depends on where you live and the amount and type of salt used. Most brushless and/or touch-less car washes have an under carriage wash which will remove the salt.

I went with the Michelin PS A/S 4 in 255/40 front and 275/40 rear on the Ford Performance wheels in 9.5x19 and 10x19 on my non-HP. The problem on an HP is that is a 5.7% increase in tire diameter. So the 285/35 would be a better choice for you, only a 2.7% increase in diameter.

19" x 9.5" RTR Tech 7's, with 275's Continental DWS 06 Sport All-seasons on all 4 corners.
$2500 to my door ready to mount with sensors- American Muscle
For me I don't have to drive the car in the snow but like to drive all winter when nice out in Chicago. All-seasons are perfect for Nov, December, March, April when the PS4S's aren't the best.
Very happy!

Nice, those look awesome! This is looking like my top pick right now. The square setup lets you rotate your tires too.

These you can rotate. There is a new Continental DWS Sport + that is directional so be careful as I don not know which one American Muscle is using these days. I bought my setup few months ago

The base Mach wheels that @Bikeman315 linked above are only $862 including TPMS…
I paid 720 shipped with TPMS from ebay.

The Mach1's also need a wider/pricier tire, and narrow does better in snow. Unless you're doing some winter/ice racing, I wouldnt want a 10in rear in snow.
