Keeping all this in mind, but I would appreciate someone answering what's wrong with 1 piece Drive Shafts, just super curious
I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with a 1 piece DS. For the money, you’re not really getting anything out of it street driving. Better things to spend the $$ on that will provide more of a benefit.

I have an H pipe, Steeda IRS braces, Steeda 2 point G Trac, FP strut tower brace with cowl and cowl extension and SVE wheels. Those alone have made a nice difference on street. Could also do the Steeda vertical links with poly bushings (delrin bushings are stiffer than needed for street).

I gotcha, makes sense, I thought it was like "It won't be so smooth" vs "It's really a waste for a street car"

Just thinking out loud, figured whatever helps to free up weight and reduce drivetrain loss was where I was coming from with that idea

If that’s what you want to do, nothing wrong with that at all. It’s your hard earned money, do what makes you happy. I think others were noting that there’s other parts you can buy for that $$ that will give more benefit on street. On the track or drag strip where every pound matters, definitely worth doing.

Me? The cost. I'd put that money towards rear suspension upgrades, Stop-the-hop kit for 1. On the street, what does the one piece do for you, you can't even see it. But hey, it's your cash.

Of course, just brainstorming here, and figured i'd get feed back for everything, which I do appreciate

I tested the driveshaft perf on track. Could I feel something? Yes. Was that placebo effect? Probably.
But on the overall weight reduction played his role. But if u need to spend that money. Buy lighter 2 piece rotors. 22lbs less rotational mass for the front. 6 or 8 for the back (depending the brand)
Same cost , real benefit also for cooling purposes.

PP package or no?
I'd do a front strut tower brace/cowl brace for sure if you dont have it, PP k brace if you dont have it, better springs and dampers, sways if you want less body roll as well, and some IRS mods to tighten up the handling (bushing supports and IRS braces, can do both or one separately to see if just 1 makes you happy enough). The rear IRS alignment kit as well. Then the usual wheel and tire upgrades.

The driveshaft and K brace are definitely not high on list of mods i would spend $$$ on.

The springs/shocks/sway bars are a huge upgrade then the IRS mods are another huge upgrade, both have huge bang for the bucks.

For a street car the standard brakes are more than enough, they will suck your eyes out of your sockets with sticky tires. Just overheat faster than the PP brakes.

Taking a break from meme's to just ask how these mods sound for a weekend cruiser/alt daily:

Not my first rodeo w/this chassis

(Towards the bottom), just would be a manual GT, bodystyle still tbd. Of course I'd also throw in the inserts and bushings, just thinking other than a drop in filter, I'd focus on the drivetrain, brakes and chassis first. There's more I'm looking at, but also at work, so this took longer to type up than expected.

Again, Alt daily/Weekend car, leaning towards vert but see what happens. Just figure weight savings would help make things feel a little lighter and more free. I'll figure everything else out in due time.

Thanks for taking a look, and have a great day now

Love the color and the car, she's a beauty, but not into a sports bra and handle bar personally.

Gonna see whats available come December/January, figure prices should be lower then for whatever I find.
