If you wanna use you battery, only use the positive! And ground it to the chassis. Important: make sure you are doing the right way when you are handling Positive and Negative. That’s important the order.

Positive first, then negative. When disconnecting the cables from the old battery, disconnect the negative first, then the positive. Connect the new battery in the reverse order, positive then negative.”

C-TEKs do well.
This. Great tenders. And no battery cooking. 😆

Seriously, people that actually cook their batteries are ill-informed on the tender vs charger specifics.

I have some cheap ass Schumacher tender I got at Walmart for like 40 bucks. I put it on in October, take it off in May. 4 years later still works like a charm and my battery is still performing like new.

You can get a Noco Genius 2 for $49.99 with latest charger/maintainer features, also Battery Tender brand at 4.5Amps for almost same price.

If you didn’t knew that , maybe you shouldn’t be doing car maintenance or playing with electrons…
And, btw the car couldn’t care less in which order you do it … but you, you could….

Google is no different to what libraries used to be.
A place to find informations….
And like the libraries of yore, critical thinking is the key to finding the “right “ information
Obviously critical thinking is pretty much dead in our country
