Hello, I have an e-boast car with the e-boost performance package and the performance handling package.
I have been trying to find out what brake rotors and pads I have so I can replace the fronts that seem to be warped.
The brakes are not the same as a standard turbo 4 car, but no one list my car in the drill downs other than year /make/model .
I have been told this car was a parts bin car ,so I guess if I knew what they were from I could look them up that way.
Also, I like the braking performance, other than the pulsing when stopping. Are there pads that don't cause that much brake dust. I drive it spiritedly but I won't be track day driving the car anytime soon.
Thanks for your time and insight

Ecoboost PP should be same as standard GT brakes.

So standard GT brakes?
I was told the ford spare would not clear my cars brakes?
Do all gt's come with no spare?
The Ford spare will work with the standard 4 pot GT brakes. They will not work with the 6 pot Brembo’s

Spares were optional on S550’s.

You need to source the parts with VIN only none of the aftermarket stores have drop down for either HPP or Handling pack. Can also get the part #s from Ford based on VIN then cross red to the aftermarket mfg ...might have to call everyone though these cars are very few in numbers and perhaps the rarest S550s.

When you look up any “Performance Pack” S550, usually it’s listed as the “Premium” …. Not sure why these parts houses can’t just put in the proper drop downs…

So standard GT brakes?
Correct. The PP Ecoboosts upgraded brakes are the standard GT brakes. Rotors/pads ect.

So if your shopping someplace and the drop down selection doesn't show the ECO PP brake parts. Just shop standard GT.

The spare will fit fine since Ecos/and GTs have the same spare tire/wheel(but most people have the inflation kit, not the spare)

This was my biggest concern when i was shopping for an Ecoboost High Performance Pack car (same engine, but with the cams, turbo, intercooler, throttle body, and tune from the Focus RS' engine). While the engine is 99% the same, i was worried about maintenance and repairs from shops and parts sites that didn't recognize this. Even worse is that most systems call out different trims and packages based on the engine'sdisplacement. Well the HPP engine has the same displacement as the standard EB...

Knowing it was a low volume option that even most enthusiasts wouldn't know existed really gave me pause.

The Ford spare will work with the standard 4 pot GT brakes. They will not work with the 6 pot Brembo’s

Spares were optional on SOME S550’s, unavailable on others.

No idea why they don't. The car is fully loaded with every option you could get .

I bought a full sized wheel so I'll have a spare.
From what I have read the pp cars either v8 or eb that has the torson rear end didn't get a spare and should not use a donut type one.

I saw some where rears may be unique size....maybe just the handling pack...it's easy to cross ref OE part # with aftermarket. Handling pack may also have 6 pot brembo fronts.
