This was my biggest concern when i was shopping for an Ecoboost High Performance Pack car (same engine, but with the cams, turbo, intercooler, throttle body, and tune from the Focus RS' engine). While the engine is 99% the same, i was worried about maintenance and repairs from shops and parts sites that didn't recognize this. Even worse is that most systems call out different trims and packages based on the engine'sdisplacement. Well the HPP engine has the same displacement as the standard EB...

Knowing it was a low volume option that even most enthusiasts wouldn't know existed really gave me pause.

its nothing that would outright concern me. It's pretty standard practice across many platforms(looking at you bmw M series) I actually see it as benifit.

For shopping some sites do get tripped up. My Bronco can be a pain to shop for at times. The dizzying array or options can't always make it straight forward. At worst its slightly inconvenient. But when it happens I walk away much more informed than before I started.

I bought a full sized wheel so I'll have a spare.
From what I have read the pp cars either v8 or eb that has the torson rear end didn't get a spare and should not use a donut type one.

It's not the differential that's an issue on the PP GT, it's the standard spare not clearing the larger brakes.

A Torsen differential is fine with a temporary spare. Unlike other LSD types, the manufacturer allows up to a 25% difference in tire diameter across the rear axle.

I got the Auto Authority spare for mine (having lived through a runflat tire getting a sidewall cut and going stone dead). It's the correct diameter for the rear end, and it fits on the front without any games. It's slightly larger than the front wheel/tire, but not so much that it will cause an issue with the ABS system. It's a snug fit in the spare tire well, won't fit if you go much over 32 psi, and occasionally needs a bit of lubrication to get into place in the well.

I will second the Automotive Athority spare. I bought one for my GTPP shortly after I bought my car. They’re used to be located in Raleigh NC so it was a short drive.
