It's not conceit when you know so many people who treat their vehicles as little more than necessary evils. I've got a whole neighborhood full of such drivers, with only a couple of exceptions other than myself. Can we please drop the conceit that not driving a manual also precludes you from being an enthusiast? Further, can we also stop assuming that people only choose auto because they can't drive manual?
When I use the term "non-enthusiast", I'm strictly applying that term to the average motorist who has little or no interest in driving at all. People who drive only because they have to; perhaps your stereotypical sedan and SUV/CUV buyers.
I suppose I can type a few more words every time to clarify who I'm aiming that little barb at.
Go back and see if my light editing meets with your approval.
