Ah man that sucks ass!! I hope they get this issue resolved but if it's been 5 days and still no communication I have a feeling it might be a long road a head getting them to pay for repairs.

My car was delivered by a broker that the dealer suggested. They were $700 cheaper than all other estimates so I was a bit nervous but the car arrived in perfect condition. The transport driver even had me drive it off the trailer because he didn't want to even touch the car lol.

Thanks for all the support guys. Definitely one of the more mature car communities I've entered into. I just got word from AmeriFreight that they are putting pressure on carrier to submit paperwork. So far so good as can be expected

Ouch. sorry to hear that. Is the paint scratched at all? My wife put a dent in her rear bumper but the paint remained perfect. I have a great body shop here and they used some sort of tool to "reform" her bumper and make it look perfect again. No repaint needed. Looked good as new and I'm very meticulous.

Wow. That sucks. I ended up using a company suggested by my Ford dealership in Owings Mills, Maryland and luckily my car came in an enclosed trailer and no issues. I mean granted the driver almost got the door ripped off while he backed it out in traffic, but no dents or anything.

The worst part is that the carrier insurance or yours will almost surely report it
and show on Carfax.......As much as it sucks, I would find out how much it would
cost to fix myself, if it can be fixed for a reasonable amount, something to consider.
My deduct is $500, so if it can be fixed for under $1000 I would
eat it.....

And you will pay the deductible unless your insurance gets reimbursed by the
carrier insurance. Insurance Companies invest little time if a low$$ claim getting reimbursed,
So you could get stuck paying the deduct and a hit on the Carfax.

Prowl, if you ever plan on selling the car, you need to make sure you get compensated for diminished value. Even though it's small, if you have started a claim with your insurance company, potential buyers in the second-hand market will see this on the vehicle history and expect a discount from a "no stories" car.

Thanks for the info. I plan on driving this sucker into the ground at this point. With this on the car fax I really don't see another option. For the few days I was with it I can tell y'all that it's by far the most fun car I've ever driven.

The repairs are going to cost $2500 at this point. No way I'm eating that. Have to save money for audio upgrades

Repairing. Replacing would probably cost much more along with wait time for the parts

Doesn't look so bad in the pic. But a little heat with a heat gun will probably release the crease. Sorry to hear of this.

Agreed. Try some heat with a heat gun in middle /late day and if cool outside at night. Put it outside overnight. Bumper may expand and contract back to normal. Worth a shot. Good luck

Sorry to hear of the damage to your car from the transporter. I used Intercity twice this year. My 2017 GT350 from Vermont to N.Y. and 2017 ZL1 from Georgia to N.Y. I can't say enough good things about their service. Cars were right on time,enclosed with covers on them and not even a tiny scratch. The driver and the company kept me informed where they were and when they would be here. Good luck with the repairs.

Wow! Sorry to hear about the mishap... effin frustrating for sure. That company should never hire transport drivers who do not know how to properly/comfortably drive a manual. One would think that should be a part of the vetting & qualification process right?? :frusty:

My thoughts exactly! I drove 18 wheelers for a time, and all were standard transmission. Automatics are out there, but not common. However, shifting is a completely different operation, due to synch/non-synch trannys. The one time they operate identically, is from a dead stop. I can't understand why this driver didn't test the clutch feel like everyone does when they get in an unfamiliar vehicle?
