Sorry. And yes, I do have Ford Performance short shifter and Steeda gearbox bushing. The thing that really made a difference was the Castrol Stanx oil change out! Simple fix.
Syntax that is.

I was worried about that in my 2020 GT. However, after fitting the very inexpensive Steeda transmission bushing and changing the oil out for Castrol Syntax, it's now that much better. And, there's more. A mustang FN GT just one its class in basically a stock showroom spec 6 hour race at our gruelling 6.2 Km Bathurst circuit in Australia. I downloaded the rules for this car and this race, and was pleasantly surprised. Its homologation included the standard Getrag MT82. Suffice to say, cooling was free and legal, and that was added, but still. An interesting test!

Speaking of cooling, anyone have any experience with cooling an MT-82? Rear diff and engine oil are pretty straight forward, not so sure about the tranny.

Yep! I’ve done this to death. And Herrod Performance here in Straya, have recommended the following. Roush oil cooler, Herrod GT350 diff cooler, no answer on trans cooler although, Mishimoto have one, but needs to be tapped. Then I went further and asked the guys that won the 6 hour here. Rear hubs get really HOT! Replace them. That’s it. About $7K US all up

Forgot to mention, the guys that won the 6 hour used 10W/50 engine oil.

Man, if only Ford offered some kind of Mustang with all of those coolers as OEM, with maybe a more robust transmission thrown in. And if only it was ~$7k more than a GT with PP1 and magneride. That would be cool. /s

From my research on hubs, there's quite few options out there including Ford Performance. I too am wondering if anyone has experience with this?

They won't build that, no one would buy it. I suppose you want rev-match too.
It still won't have a spare tire.

I have a 2018 GT with the MT82-D4, car has almost 21k miles on it.... I've had a ton of lock outs downshifting into 2nd gear from 3rd....................... then going up into 3rd gear from 2nd was always sketchy with it at high RPMs. Around 15k miles mine developed a really bad trans whine, it almost sounds like it has a supercharger on it.... took it around by TWO dealers and no one is even willing to look at it.

At around 18k miles I changed the rear diff fluid and now it takes redline shifts from 2nd to 3rd with no problems at all. So changing that fluid was a MAJOR improvement.

I also bought an Raceseng Ashiko weighted shift knob. I think the MT-82 is a horrible trans if you compare it to pretty much any Tremec.... I mean it's not even close.... BUT my two very inexpensive changes, with the rear diff fluid & putting a weighted shift knob on it has massively improved how my MT-82 has felt.

I think we just have different ideas. When I miss a shift, I blame myself - not Ford. I missed shifts in my GT350 as well. It happened a little more often in the GT350 than it has in the GTs I've owned for some reason. I don't think the Tremec transmission is worse than the Getrag box. I think it's due to the power the Voodoo makes near redline, which made me a little more excited or nervous when doing shifts near the redline in that car. The MT-82 handles faster shifts better than the Tremec 3160, that's one thing I've noticed.

One of the 2011s I owned had a really bad shifter in it - welding slag on the shift rod ate up the bushings. Other than that i've used stock shifters. They seem fine to me.

And I miss shifts occasionally in my Fiesta ST. I think that car has a good transmission as well. I'm just not perfect at using it.

I like the grabber blue color as well. I wanted to find one this last time I was looking for a GT, but I got impatient. They aren't that easy to find.

Lol. I guess you never used a T5 transmission.

I guess most of the folks here have never driven a manual Lada from 1980's 😆

Have 2021 GT PP1 on manual, the shifts were a bid finicky during break-in, but now they are smooth as butter. Yeah, I did miss the shifts few times, because I've been lazy, but rev match tells me that I'm doing something wrong before I start releasing clutch. During more spirited driving it's sufficiently precise. With adding a roush blower and tune, daily driveability significantly improved because of the way rev matches are done differently in the roush tune.

I have some questions to the clutch pedal and feel, but that's a different story and again, it's all relative.

I've been wanting a Cyclone 6-speed since they were available new, but have been sitting on the sidelines hoping that the transmission issue is resolved.

I don't understand the blind loyalty to the Blue Oval, when they have acknowledged issues with the MT82 seven times via Special Service Messages and Technical Service Bulletins.

This is one of the good write-ups about it: https://www.cjponyparts.com/resources/mt82-transmission-specs
