I have the gr350 left axle in my a10 turbo car. Held up great so far. But I just turned it up a bit and broke 2 right side stock axles in just 1 day. So if the right side axle is the same strength as the gt350 then 1.4 60fts will kill them.
Footbrake or transbrake launch?

I’ts interesting to hear you guys that broke a dr side shaft broke them at the taper part outside of the boot. Mine broke something inside the boot. And it’s not some super high horsepower car it’s a damn eco. Then again it is a stick car and let it go about 4-4200 on a biasply and snap. It didn’t move but an inch or two.

so with that said who’s got the best deal on gt350 shafts I’m gonna need a dr side. I replaced the broke stock with another stock so the car would be functional but need upgrade come spring.

You would be wasting your money on the gt-350 axles especially with a stock ecoboost wanting to do 4000 rpm clutch drops. The gt-350 axles are a little bit stronger then the stock axles. Just get a good set of 800 hp axle shafts and never look back. I recommend G-force axles...

Many sets of GT350 axles are in 700-800HP cars with no issues. I doubt an Ecoboost will break them, although there might be 1 Ecoboost that could.

Were you dumping your clutch or slipping on the 4-4200 rpm launch when yours broke on the bias ply?

Somewhere between a slip and dump.

What’s the part number for the goto 350 axle? Is there any difference between the 350 and 350r?

How long did you have those on and what kind of power are you making

had em on 2 months tops. 650 rwhp measured 2 weeks ago through hub dyno....

upgraded many components along the way, I guess I'm part of the select few that have broken gt350 half shafts.

I have cradle lockouts, diff inserts, vertical links, subframe alignment dowells, godspeed rear adjustable camber arms with camber near -1 degree.... MT82 with the steeda tri ax shifter and stiffer bushing as well as the whiteline trans bushing insert...

was running 305/35/18 mickey street ss tires. broke during 2-3 shift during some pulls and I wasnt exactly pushing it hard

I'm about to throw mine on in a few days. I'm n/a so should last me a long time. Especially since most tracks are closing around the state.

Put a bias ply tire out back and that should help them live by absorbing shock on the launch.

Damn, wish I knew this before getting radials. I had always been told that radials for autos & bias for manuals.
