Good to see that extra time they held them for quality control is paying off....50/50 front seat option courtesy of Flat Rock.

They did the same thing with the Mach 1's when they were having production issues, although in those cases they at least replaced cloth Recaros with leather. This is whole nuther level.

Silver Eco parked at my hotel this week. I really do like the exterior of these cars. Interior for the most part is good too. Just a few things I’d change.

Price tag is what it is. Everything is more expensive these days, not sure why everyone is shocked that the S650 costs more than S550.

It needs stripes . Too much white . They just got it and would not let my father- inlaw take it for a test drive , as they had not done the "whatever" they do to get them ready for sale . Mind YOU, he rolled in , in a the last model Ford GT.
He won't go back there , that for sure.

I am trying.

I am trying to like it.

I am really trying to like this car.
Why?
If you have to try to like it, you don't really like it.
If it has to grow on you, it's not worth MSRP but it might be a good beater one day.

As I posted in another thread, saw a Dark Horse yesterday at a dealer and was very underwhelmed. Was expecting to like it more in person than in pictures but, meh. Could buy it if I want but… I don’t want.

I saw my first S650 in the flesh over the weekend, a GT vert in Vapor Blue. I liked the front end well enough I guess, but the rear not so much. Better than in white though. A big "meh" from me.

I guess all I’ll say is I remember the same type of commentary about S550 when it was rolled out and compared to S197. Considering how well S550 sold, I’d venture to guess most of the forever S197 crowd also jumped on board with S550, be it the original or the 2018 refresh.

Maybe things are different this time around, but I doubt it. As they’re seen more and more and of certain aspects are addressed in a refresh, I’ll go out on a limb and say a good amount of S550 folks will jump to S650. Just my opinion though

Yeah that doesn't thrill me I suspect the colour is not helping it either. It just looks like a generic Mustang.

If they were priced better I think you might be able to win over folks faster…the thing is though I saw a GT premium without all the options pushing 58k. That’s Mach 1 territory
