UPDATE: Ford will replace the hood. The dealership said that they would need the car for 2 days? Seems a bit long just to remove one hood and replace it with another, or is it just me?

I agree that they were awful. Had my '76 banana yellow coupe for less than a year before I traded it in for a '76 Duster slant 6. Much better car. As a teenager driving the mustang, however, it was a chic magnet.

Agreed. I had a '76 Mustang coupe as my very first car. I think that was better looking than the s650, IMO.

I would absolutely consider getting that Saleen body and interior dash if it was on the regular s650. Should of made it like that to begin with. Maybe a few years down the road?

Nope. Saw 10 or 11 live at the dealer this past weekend. All of them have it, Ecoboost and GT.

What is that seam across the top of the s650 trunk? Very unsightly. Even the salesman said that he did not know what it was. He said "Another place to trap dirt, I guess".

I will insist on a replacement and even the service advisor I spoke with wouldn't commit, but used 'read between the lines' words and get it replaced.

Thanks for all the great replies and info. I got back from the dealer and the body shop is closed. The advisor said to come back on Monday and the shop will give an estimate and send it to Ford. The advisor feels that it 'should' be approved for a new hood. We will see.

2019 with an extended warranty. There is a very small bubbling, about a quarter inch, on the hood edge just above the drivers side head light, but no where else. My question is does the dealer have to replace the entire hood or will they try and talk me into a spot fix and blend in the paint? I...
