Nice! Widebody is the only way to go!
Thank you for removing the dang yellow shipping protectors!!!
I joked with a Challenger-owner that he should go to Walmart and buy pool noodles.

Interestingā€¦ I see people saying they received some apology email from Ford yesterday about further delays and promising updates going forward every 45 days. I never received any such email, donā€™t know what that may mean and whether it could be a good or bad sign, or neither. The last communication Iā€™ve had directly from Ford was the email in March I believe that everyone was getting about extended wait times.

Got same nonsense email from Ford - btw 1st communication from them in over 3 months! I do appreciate getting regular updates going forward at least.

ā€œ We understand it has been too long since you last heard from us. Today, we wanted to give you an update on the status of your Mustang Mach 1 order.
Unfortunately, continued supply chain issues are slowing things down. Weā€™re working diligently to try and reduce these delays.
Now hereā€™s our promise to you. We know that waiting for delivery of your Ford is far less fun than actually driving it. So, we commit to updating you as soon as we can, at least once every 45 days regarding your vehicleā€™s production schedule status. No matter what.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.ā€
Where is my email Ford? Supposedly I got highest priority 01? I haven't received communication from them since November last year! LOL (order date 06/2021 - 2022 Reorder Date 12/21)

I offered a dealer to sell me a Mach for sticker, called me back and said 5K over is expected and they would not budge.

I replied, you are turning down a guaranteed sale for full sticker, in the hopes of getting ADM? He said yes, I said good bye.
Iā€™m paying 3k over sticker for my Mach 1 order. I went to 5 different dealers and all of them had at least 5k and even 10k over. It is what it is. Weā€™re living in crazy times. I think 3k is not terrible compared to what Iā€™ve seen out there.

2/11 Granger order. No delay email this time around which is odd.

Is the plant shutting down for 2 weeks? I thought they had the summer 2 week shutdown already and have not seen any news about a July shut down.

Got this last night from Ford. I have little hope of getting my Mach 1 after seeing this and a bunch of guys reporting their build dates got moved to August. I think I'm too far down the list at Granger to have a chance. @Coastal-Mach and all you other guys who keep getting their build date pushed - you hang in there. You'll get your cars.

I hope so, but my faith in Ford slips daily.

You guys may want to watch this for general entertainment purposes. Two key points: (1) There is no shortage of chips; just that how much a manufacturer is willing to pay for the chips; (2) you are not worth much in the manufacturerā€™s eyes because its main customer is the dealer (that is, you can scream how much you want at Ford but Ford is more concerned with who is their main dealer customer). In this sense, it is worth shopping for a dealer who purchases more cars from Ford. Just watch it for the fun of it

Thanks for the insight. A worthwhile view. Similar chip shortage availability thoughts were echoed earlier this week on a segment that Charles Payne had on his show. That chip industry specialist specifically pointed out that Ford is in the process of procuring enough chips to satisfy their needs for the next 18 months save for one particular chip that was much more difficult to obtain. He further indicated that EV chip needs were going to be be much more affected for the next two years as opposed to ICE vehicles.
