I'm so confused!

So does the 2019 Voodoo have the changes the OP states in the first post or is there some question??

Some pre 2019 owners will state there is no magic and changes have slowly been worked in over time from the cars start in 2015

There is apparently a lot of 2019 changes however... the fact it is a new block shared with the gt500 set up to handle boost, and the fact all motors are the R spec, which is not just talking output figures as that has always been the same

Besides several articles there are some videos including one from Fathouse where there did a 2019 car and they rattle off a listing of the changes made

I think however they are all great cars. If I could if found the right options in a 2017 Avalanche Grey car, I would of bought it in a heartbeat. But the fact I'm planning to boost... and the blind spot monitoring, B&O stereo, cool mud puddle lamps, cup 2 tires... it just got to the point I could justify the 10k more to go 2019. Some with older cars say their cars feel more raw so therefore exciting, but several people that had the 2015-2018 who traded in and got 2019 and up say something different since they had both

I don't think you will be disappointed with any choice you get a better deal on the older ones, and they are just as powerful.

Or some of us with pre 19 cars got the 19 motor when we had the engine replaced.

Yes, seems like most of the engine replacements here on the forum are with 2019 motors- but only makes sense since I’m not reading any threads from 2018 and earlier...

Well good to know, I’m getting the 2020 model so all the changes + steering rack and front suspension. But the real reason is Grabber Lime Green is a 2020 only color and it’s the color my wife likes. Happy wife....

So I have a question. I looked at the window sticker of two different 2019s. One window sticker says model year 2019. The other doesn’t so are they both model year 19s or is there a difference?

So 1FA6P8JZ6K5549876 will be a 2019 model year and will have the updates? the "K" indicating model year 2019?

Wow! That is an early, early 2019 model!

I'd ask the dealer what the dash plate number is, guessing this would be a preproduction/test car that was one of few built in 2018. "normal" production started mid february of 2019.... the K554 part of the vin I think signifies it was built in '18 vs K555 in '19.

Let us know what they say, a normal production dash plate would be something like K0012, I'm guessing this one is something like TT212. Would probably make it more rare, but I have no idea if it would affect value at all.

Early build but still likely assembled in 2019. Mine is K554 also; a few numbers higher on VIN. Built in March (initially sched for Feb). Chassis number is 0503.

well that's interesting! Doesn't make much sense to me they would number them that way, but oh well! My blend date was 3/25/19 and had vin 550959 and chassis 0899. So much for my theory, you'd think that 550001 would be the 1st 2019 vin so seems wacky to have them keep running with the prior year series like that.

Not sure the VINs stay precisely arranged. It seems like order sequence plays into to the VIN at least as much as build date. That appears to throw them out of whack a bit. Again, not sure, but a logical guess.

agreed they would be out of sequence just due to options availability, but the starting point is what gets me scratching my head. oh well.... doesn't really matter i guess
