I'd be curious to see what kind of impact it has on temps. Many think there's not enough air flow in that area for a finned cover to make much difference.
Yea, that's a good question. If I interpret the pic correctly, the fins do extend below the diff like on an AMG. There should be some air down there. At least it would look mean from the rear, that's for sure :muscle:

There's lots of air but it's turbulent and fairly hot. A ~guess of 500% increase in surface area is definitely worth something though.

So after a bit of research, I have found a finned differential cover from a Mustang Forum member in Germany
Please post the source URL of the thread/forum. I sent the picture off to Steeda and inquired if they might be able to source or duplicate it.

Here is the thread in that forum. It's all in German though
https://mustang6.de/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=17629

And here is a link to the guys or gals profile who posted the pic:
https://mustang6.de/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=14224

I've contacted the person, but without any luck so far. By the reactions here it seems like nobody knows of a vendor that carries this. Maybe Steeda can shed some light.

Hmm, seems you have to join in order to read anything. Any chance you could 'print' the page out to PDF from your browser?
Yea, I did join for this purpose. But here is a PDF of the page. If google translate is right then this person should be the designer or manufacturer of this cover.

neat, so he had a custom fab/CNC shop (eg something like https://xometry.de/de/cnc-bearbeitung/) run it off for him. 450Euro for the cover strikes me as a bit rich considering the Ford part is a mere $60.
Yea 450 is on the high side but still cheaper than some other options. If I would only know that it worked for sure and fixes all the problems I'd go for it though.

Hello all. @LS_Coyote (Steve) contacted me that he posted a picture of the diff cover I have been working on and kindly asked me to say a few words about it here. I do not want to hijack this thread and saw that @Bahndvr created another thread for the diff cover. I will provide some technical information there:

Just FYI, I found by accident Ford Performance part for GT350 uses nearly same cooler as the A10 tranny cooler in near same position I mounted my cooler and it is passive w/o fan
Thanks for posting the Ford document.
Anyone know why they add a new vent line fitting (and hose?). Tons of work to fully remove the diff, axles, brakes, exhaust....just to put a new vent hose fitting in. Why?

The diff coolers are the only way to really do the job and have peace of mind at the track. Well done.
