Understood! I never think about all these things when buying a performance part. It shouldn't break the bank while adding some performance and I'm happy. Thanks for the detailed explanation
Yea 450 is on the high side but still cheaper than some other options. If I would only know that it worked for sure and fixes all the problems I'd go for it though.
Yea, I did join for this purpose. But here is a PDF of the page. If google translate is right then this person should be the designer or manufacturer of this cover.
Here is the thread in that forum. It's all in German though

And here is a link to the guys or gals profile who posted the pic:

I've contacted the person, but without any luck so...
Yea, that's a good question. If I interpret the pic correctly, the fins do extend below the diff like on an AMG. There should be some air down there. At least it would look mean from the rear, that's for sure :muscle:
So after a bit of research, I have found a finned differential cover from a Mustang Forum member in Germany. I "borrowed" this picture from there. It looks like it may work. I'm trying to get in contact with the person and find out where he got it from and what the pricing is. I'll keep you guys...
One can only hope that the Tremec with the correct drive shaft will make it's way into the Ford Performance catalog. Would be a good upgrade for a few guys with transmission problems as well.
Lol, a Bullitt engine is a sad settlement. Hopefully the article I read from MotorTrend is correct that they will be packing the GT350 transmission however. That'll be worth a lot for the driver's connection to the car.
They're not gonna challenge the GT350 hp. It's sacred. I'd guess right around 500 hp. GT350 CAI, premium gas tune (91 octane), GT350 comparable lobes on the cam, and better flowing headers. If they need the extra RPM to get there then they will need the GT350 intake manifold as well, but I would...
Yes I've tried all of the easy fixes. But I do have a 4.11 rear gear ratio and the Torsen LSD so maybe that produces more heat? And thanks for the quick replies everybody. I'm new to the forum so this really is aweseome!
I would also love to know this. I am having axle temp problems on the track but the dedicated GT350 cooler is just too expensive and complex for me. Does anyone have an update if there is a finned diff cover for these cars yet?
