I also opened mine from the back, but how did you get the grille separated from the bumper? I thought it was a one-way snap in, but I didn't try too hard to figure it out.
Regarding fans, CFM, etc. , I just ran some simple, and correct, calculations. The radiator is 20x25 inches (GT and PP, but PP is thicker). 11 MPH = 3400 CFM. 50 MPH = 15000 CFM. This assumes the air going through the entire radiator at the speeds mentioned, which is not perfect, but it...
300F Rotors after 20 min session! Mine were 600F after 20 min, and that was after a 2.5 mile cool-down lap, plus parking. My calipers were 400F. What track were you at?
Very wise words! This would be Great advice for all new drivers. I decided the same, and I'm not making any suspension, or even alignment, changes until I'm more experienced and very consistent, so I'll be able to KNOW what works, and reliably measure it by lap times.
Nice journal of your...
I did have the right half of the Ground Speed Indicator go dim, independently of the rest of the Tach & Speedometer panel. Had that fixed under warranty. It was strange, dim, but evenly lit.
I've only run with TDE, 5 weekends. I like and highly recommend them. I understand they are more strict with rules and order, but that makes it generally better and safer for all, especially newbies. Their instructors have all been great too.
When I have the headlights on automatic, it turns them on (and the "night" version of inst panel lighting activates) sometimes just from clouds, or driving through shade. Even driving under a highway overpass can do it. It's too sensitive, and the only solution I know is to turn the headlights...
I could, but unfortunately, I don't have enough good baseline data to compare. I'll probably do some testing when the weather is warmer to see. I may wait to do the water + WW anyway, as the weather is going to be quite cold this weekend, my next track weekend. Then I can get back-to-back...
Loud and Fast! MSRH is my home track, and so far the only track I've driven. Been there just 4 weekends so far, with The Drivers' Edge, great organization by the way! Going this coming weekend too. Do you ever make it out there anymore?
I have a Subaru, why didn't I think of that! (Poking a hole first, to let the oil drain out), but actually, I don't recall it making a mess when I remove the filter either. Subaru does include a bowl-like area with a drain hole (?) around the filter which makes clean-up of the little bit easy.
I'm a little late to your thread, but I'm guessing the waterless coolant is not a good idea. I'll read on and see.....
100% Glycol has a heat capacity only about half that of water (2.6 vs 4.2 in the same units), and worse, a thermal conductivity of 0.27 vs 0.60. So water absorbs almost 2X...
EDIT- I thought I was at the end when I replied here, but had only read the first of 2+ pages) oops.
Replying to the whole thread in general - I've been going through similar issues and reading tons of forums since Mid-2020. I've got a 2019 GT A10. First track event, noticed the shifts...
Nightmaremoon is right, they 'screw in' (clockwise) to co,press / make room for new pads. Both sides rotate the same direction. The Ford service manual picture shows CCW rotation, which is wrong. I've done mine twice, the second time was 2 days ago.
Anyone have problems with the rubber seal...
so 14 posts in and the problem is clear. Two Zombie Green cars have this problem, and the next is a Green Bullett. Post #15 is the first non-Green Mustang to have the problem. I'm sure it's the color, and clearly the Red mustang is an outlier. He has a different issue. :cwl: :like:
