I had a 19 GT. Sold it a few years ago when the market exploded. Regretted my decision ever since. Looking to get back into one in late spring next year. I like the 10 speed. According to Alex at Lund, the formulae for an NA 10 second is fairly simple. I’ll list below. What are your times if you’ve got these mods and NA? No plans to go boost for a while (if at all). Priced this out, without the drag pack, we’re looking at about $3500-4000. Seems pretty cheap overall.
(I’m not getting a base model; drag mode will be needed for these numbers)
Lund tune e85
Drag pack (hit 11s right here)
Catless LTH and full exhaust
Can add PMAS CAI for further into 10s

My rule of thumb 2 sec needs another 200hp and cost 8k.

Time slips and experience are what I’m looking for. The 10 speed is quick comparatively to the 6r80 from the factory. I feel like Alex at Lund is trustworthy from experience, but wanting to hear if others have achieved these results with these same mods

Youd need a full drag pack and great weather and be on a drag strip for the NA setup, and possibly remove the passenger seat, and this is only applicable to 10r80 cars manual would need a lot more.

Time slips and mods to show this? It would be an improvement over stock regardless. But looking for the hard numbers

Do you think removing the exhaust actually worsened the time?
Thanks for the slip! Alex made it sound so simple. I have a hard time believing it really is that easy, so this is the information I’m looking for.

Saved I believe 75 pounds with factory active exhaust. Agreed it is not easy to achieve this unless you remove weight and race in close to Negative DA.

Alex is a douche bag so take what he says with a grain of salt. But yes, 10.9X in perfect conditions with correct mods plus enough weight reduction is doable. Most don't achieve it but it's possible.

Or you could put a $7k ESS kit, a tune (Wengerd), and a good tire on it and be low 10's. No weight reduction.

Save your money and do a blower with a good tune and a tire . Don’t have to worry about gutting anything . Get to the track, lower your tire pressure and go .

Not looking to boost. At least not in the first year. Potential down the line. Haven’t decided yet. My buddies have ESS kits. Rowdy vehicles for sure

Cahouston has also run 10.99x with basically this formula. But that's only going to happen with a hard hook in zero or negative DA. 460-475 rwhp.

I ran 11.26 @ 126 with a soft hook (1.83 60ft) in 700 da. Headers, ~475rwhp, weight reduction.

I moved on to + Comp cams & Holley so I've got another 50hp and widened power band. I want 10s capable not only in perfect conditions.

Add torque converter and willing to be a little hard on the trans by tuning in the trans brake? - That would be maybe as much pickup as my additional 50hp.
