I should mention I do have 2GB RAM in mine. I think most of them are coming that way now but you should probably verify this if not sure.

I've read through some of the pages here at work, but not everything.. so don't bite my head off if this has been asked already...
I'm thinking of picking one of these up, has anyone had one of these units fail or experience major problems? Really like the look of this unit compared to the Tesla vertical style... Sick and tired of the base radio and its tiny screen..

I have only had mine in for about 3 months now but it has been great. The real test will be when the summer hits here in Texas... I think if it survives the heat here then it will survive anything.

I have had mine over a year in heat and cold overall I like it. Mine is a little slow in maps if the 2G corrected that I would recommend it.
Would you say it’s worth the price? I’m also tired of my base screen and have been following this radio for a while .

For me yes ascetically alone its worth it. The lack of ram is annoying but overall I like. You will have no support and no warranty.

I am assuming 500 to 600 dollars its worth it.

That being said I do have on principal issues with Chinese manufactures a lot of what they sell barely works, they don't support it, and they blatantly misadvertise.

Recommend this over the Tesla screen?

I'm looking to pick up the 8.1 Android Oreo unit soon. I'm just wondering what kind of Wattage power these units have? I also wanted to install some Alpine tweeters and speakers but don't want to strain the unit.

If you do get one, please keep us posted. There are so many things they supposedly fixed to work better on the newer units. Like Synch, and voice activation. The outside air temp showing on the screen, etc. Also boot up time is supposed to be a bit faster with the newer T8 processor.

I will keep you all posted, haven't quite pulled the trigger yet. I have a 2018 Mustang Base. I asked the sellers at seicane.com if it was compatible and sent them an image of my system and they said it would work... but then again all they care about is sales and probably don't know 100% lol

It'll be interesting to see any differences in the updated software. Curious about the Sync App and Radio mostly. I think the default launcher is pretty terrible but a quick download fixes that quickly using one of the car ones. From what I understand many of these chinese units fake the OS info. Not sure how you check for that though without going into recovery or something.

Installing the newest version of the Seicane 8.1 Android radio in my 2018 Base model this Friday, I'll post pictures after to show the version etc.

Hmm I haven't heard anything about launcher problems with this unit. I know the Tesla vertical models are a nightmare if you change the launcher from factory sometimes. I'll have to look into that, so far the unit physically looks like the same as all the previous...
