I think it's due more to the heat and vibration and low quality part from Mexico. The hose keeps breaking at the same spot. On the bend by the weld. This hose run right along and close to the engine. This car's engine puts out a lot heat and vibration.

Or maybe as a poster on a different thread said, maybe my GT350 wants to become a R. So maybe it just rejecting the AC altogether. Idk anymore
That was me, lol.

Oil change. Just hit 26k miles. Likely doing the next one shortly after 30k. Cannot stop daily’ing this car. Love it.

Same boat brother, I got mine with 28,600 on her, she has 34,300 on her now and I have personally done the oil 3x already lol @ 35k will be the 4th. Don't forget to prime the system before you start it after the oil change .

Last week was busy!

Did a few trips with my now newly whippled gen1 gt350.

Drove from the north of Austria to Carinthia and later to Venice, Italy.
Followed by a short break for a motorcycle track day and procceded to Nurburgring.

Unfortunatly my alternator died on the way back, either from wear or me spilling coolant while i changed the reservoir tank.

Still it was a blast

Are you changing it once a year? Or track days. Just trying to figure out the 4 oil changes in 5400 miles.

I daily drive the car, and it spends its entire life on E85, so I've always assumed some amount of ethanol ends up contaminating the oil over time, which can reduce its lubricating properties compared to a petroleum based fuel.

The first oil change was done as soon as I bought the car. The oil itself looked clean, but I wasn't told what brand or viscosity was in it, so I wanted a known baseline and changed it immediately. I run Motul 300v and 600ml of Ceratec , yes I know its not mentioned as an oil to be used in the Voodoo but I have been running 300v in most my toys for ages and I'm comfortable with it

The rest of the oil changes were either because I had reached the 3,000-mile mark or because the wife's car was due for service and I figured I'd knock both out at the same time, even if mine was a little early.

On a side note, I've always been a bit obsessive when it comes to oil. I like keeping fresh, clean oil in all my toys, especially my motorcycles. Most of my bikes get fresh oil every 1,000 miles whether they need it or not. Oil is cheap compared to engines, and changing it gives me one less thing to lose sleep over. 😄

Did something I've wanted to do for a couple of years. I finally programmed the cars garage door opener. progrprammed my Lincoln MKZ and Expedition also. Wasn't able to fit my Expedition in the garage, so I needed to do it while it was out of the garage. Didn't want to program, so I took a piece of copper wire and attached it to the garage door openers antenna to make it longer, and it worked. Simple things make me happy

“Fixed” a malfunctioning exhaust actuator… leaving work in the evening, exhaust mode selection unavailable came up. Car would engage the valves, but after a few seconds, they’d close again (1 hr commute home in quiet mode was super lame).

Car on jackstands, rear diffuser removed, no signs of wire chaffing. Dropped the entire exhaust to get a closer look at the valve actuators and found this little guy jammed between the actuator and valve (the pebble, not the socket haha). I guess it was keeping the actuator from a full range of motion and losing its mind.

I stopped by the dealership to get an update on the back ordered parts for the GT-350 that I dropped off March 26th.
The last of the parts are supposed to ship out on June 26 which will make it 3 months to the day just to get the parts.
Hopefully they can get it all put back together by the middle of July.
All of this started with a failed pilot bearing….☹
Just glad that I have the extended warranty, but you would think that the pilot bearing would last longer than 24,000 miles ?

Some times waiting for a warranty and parts is a double edged sword. Clutch repairs should never take that long, especially when the secondary market is so plentiful with quality replacement parts. Hope your back up and running sooner then later.

Agreed, parts that are holding up the project are for the transmission.
The Ford Premium ESP warranty will not allow for them to replace the transmission, only for them to rebuild it
🤷‍♂️

Nice fix. Dealership would've been: You need new exhaust system.... and two new actuators.
