These cars burn more oil than a Russian refinery after the Ukrainians sent their love. Sold mine last week.

Today new clutch sensor (4th one), new battery, and coming soon new AC HP hose for the 6 or 7 time. Can't remember now, been so many. Think about replacing the engine mounts.

Out of curiosity, are you using oem each time? If so, think I’d go aftermarket. I’m fortunate, and can get hoses made locally that literally never fail. Sucks what so many are dealing with with such a basic part.

6-7 times, sounds like something else is wrong and not getting to the root cause.

I agree but no one seems to be able to figure it out. The two mechanics that I allow to work on my car each have 35 years of experience. Even the mothership Ford has no answers. Idk anymore

I know some have posited that the "root cause" is the engine and how high it revs, and the result of how fast it spins everything is the issue. It seems to make sense to me, but I'm not as experienced as most.

If that's the case, the "root cause" is simply the engine/car/design themselves and not fixable I guess? Which would be frustrating. Shocked no one has looked into it more, it seems. 6-7 replacements even with a warranty is insane. They may as well have just not installed it at that point 🤣

My warranty is powertrain only. If mine goes I'm toast (literally and figuratively). That may equate to going the "delete" route.

I am well aware everyone has very different limits when it comes to mechanical capabilites, tools, time, resources, risk management, fear, etc, etc, I get it...but with aftermarket parts (that have long outlasted my two Ford compressors), removing the entire system, and I do mean every siingle componet sans the evap, and replacing is about a $400 job and a six pack for half a day. It's just another component on any old car. There's nothing unique about the system on this car. Tackling the AC system is all mental...the first time. And then you'll see.

Congrats and kudo’s, great color combo. Wish my fillups cost 75$, I’m almost three times that. Lol.

Finally got through my first tank of gas. Filled up ($74 ouch), then the next day was its first all day outing.

I remember way back when my dad bought a brand new K5 Chevy Blazer from the show room floor.
The heater core started leaking about 2 months after he bought it, the dealer put a total of 4 new heater cores in it as each new one would start leaking after 2 months.
Turned out that the factory failed to install a hose support clamp and that allowed the hoses to move around and break the heater core….

I think it's due more to the heat and vibration and low quality part from Mexico. The hose keeps breaking at the same spot. On the bend by the weld. This hose run right along and close to the engine. This car's engine puts out a lot heat and vibration.

Or maybe as a poster on a different thread said, maybe my GT350 wants to become a R. So maybe it just rejecting the AC altogether. Idk anymore
