Stock for Stock Beat the Eco?: With equal drivers yes. Kill it? No way It will be neck and neck, and the slightest mistake by either driver will give the other the win.Which again begs the question of why the OP would even pose a question about a stock 370Z vs a tuned EcoBoost that can do 11s. Stock for stock the 370Z will kill him. And with a tune he'll kill the 370Z and your stock GT, and a stock 2016 Camaro. And pretty much everything else. So what purpose did the original question serve?
Plus if you don't at least put a $500 off the shelf tune on the ECO you are doing it wrong, hell it gets better mileage with the Cobb tune because the Ford tune is so laughably bad. I do not have a problem calling that fair at all considering a 370z is $3-5k more expensive.
Like I said before, who goes up to the winner of a Race and says "Stock for Stock, My car is faster!"?
I think the OP asked a valid question, Most cars he encounters on the road are not modified, He likely is. The real world is simply not fair like that. I know I would struggle against and probably lose to a bone stock GT. Will you be complaining about stock vs stock then? Now as soon as the fuel station a few hundred yards from my house starts pumping E-85 (owner told me early Feb the pump gets put in) I will start hunting bigger game like bolt on GTs, and M4s and I will lose some I'm sure.
If I even think I hear forced induction from a GT though, I'm going to go hide.
