About even I would say, would probably be a driver's race with the edge going to the automatic ecoboost over the manual 370Z.

When I had my tuned base manual EB, I ran a few 370Z's and never had any trouble. The NISMO 370Z isn't that much faster in a straight than the base actually, the stiffer suspension hurts the straight line. In an auto EB I doubt you'll have any problems.

As much as I love the Z series (I owned a 350Z) I would give the win to the EB.

I had a 370 z before my mustang, bone stock ran a 13.3 with a manual. Not sure what the eb can do,tuned and good driver should be able to take the Z,but would be a good race.

Took down a 370z on the autobahn with just a CAI, intercooler, and Cobb ots tune,
He had at least a cat back, Wheels and spoiler and graphics, so I'm going to assume bolt-ons, we were about even to 220 kph then I walked him. at 250 he was barely in my rear view.
Now that I'm full MAP P1.5 with a custom tune, I'm sure it wouldn't even be close.

Just judging from the EB fast list. I'm going with the 4 banger will wipe the floor with the 370.

'Course you did :hail:

Yeah stock for stock, the fat Jap would trounce the fat Yank (100+ kg in it), in the twisties, you could put a flame thrower out an eco boosts arse and the result would be even more of a trouncing.

I think stock to stock is the only real way to judge any two cars.

I don't get buying an ecoboost, then spending a small fortune trying to turn it into a GT  The fat Datsun isn't even in the same genre as ANY Mustang, so I guess I don't get the need for comparison, pointless really, but that's car guys for ya

Anyway, autodragbhan away

So modded vs modded isn't fair?

I'm waiting for the day I beat someone in a race and they tell me that their car is faster than mine stock.

Comparing a 30k car to a 25 k car is apples to apples?

Hell, Lets go dollar for dollar
Msrp is 25k vs 30k I have 2.5k in Performance mods so yeah that

Don't the VQ engines respond terribly to bolt-ons and tunes? Last I recall, the 3.5L and 3.7L post little gains with said mods and you need to go F/I for anything worthwhile.

Pretty much that, although you can UpRev them and get @ 370hp and a handful of torques, it's the 70's Achillies.
