OP, check out the Saddle interior. The minute I sat in '15 with the dark saddle interior I was sold on it. It's a good mix between a being something different than black, but still being dark enough color that it isn't distracting or anything.

My only wish is that Guard could come in premier trim. I really wanted premier trim and would have gone redline premier trim if it could be optioned with Guard, but only the black interior premier trim can unfortunately.

For DIB I think you have all the interior options available though.

The saddle is not available with premier trim unfortunately.

Yellow jacket is not available with DIB, otherwise I would go that route.

I have Oxford white with the red line interior and love it. I was a bit worried that I'd regret it, but it's been 3 months and am glad I went with it.

I guess I should just find one in person somewhere. I am really torn - worried that the ebony interior will be too dark and monotonous, particularly with the darker trim from the performance package. I have had several cars with totally black interiors and am a little bored with that look. Plus they show dust and scuffs easily.

On the other hand, I have been in several cars with all-red interiors (e.g. Porsche) that give the feeling you are sitting in something's mouth. Luckily the Mustang is not that bad, being just the seat faces, but it stills looks like a lot of red in photos.

I would definitely order it if it were just red stitching. I like the yellow jacket option, but it is not available with Deep Impact Blue.
I would have bought the saddle with Ruby but it's not available (ridiculous). I, too am sick of black interiors which I've had now for 11 years so I ordered Ceramic. I like the redline but not with Ruby...that's too much and I'm surprised Ford offers it.

Redline is A W E S O M E

A lot of German luxury cars have red interiors but they are RED everywhere...dash entire seats etc. I love the mustang because it's red inserts. Everyone loves it.

I was sold on the refine with the PP dash, what a combo. You also get soft padding on the doors too

I liked saddle but it looks fit for an old man

The Premier should help make your decision. When my white/Redline came into the dealer, there was a white/Saddle car on the showroom floor so I could compare directly. Saddle is a nice color. Redline looks much sharper, IMO. But there is NO comparison between standard and Premier. The leather is so much nicer, the touch of the door panels, the real and contrasting stitching on the dash, e-brake, shifter and glove box cover . . . . it really classes up the joint. I am SO glad I got mine changed before it was built!

When you drive, you see the red stitching, and the door panels out of the corner of your eyes. I don't really see the seats, and it never seems I am driving in a sea of red. I see black, silver, chrome and red stitching.

A red interior, particularly with an exterior in black, gray, silver or white is spectacular. It may not be to your specific taste, but you certainly can't dismiss it as bad design/color.

I'm shopping one of the above exterior colors, had a dealer offer me a car in gray (Magnetic) with a black interior for an amazing deal, I took a pass - it's the Redline Premier interior for me or _nothing_ :) I am shopping convertibles specifically, so if I was interested in a Coupe, I'd likely go with Recaro seating.

I've had black interiors all my life, so I didn't want red, but it was all they had and when I finally saw it in person, my eyes almost popped out of my head. I instantly fell in love and don't regret a single second of it.

Love my Ruby Red with Redline Interior with pp. I picked up this car after it was special ordered by someone who was unable to close the deal. I traded my ctsv for this one...it had 580whp. The stang is my DD

I would have happily paid for the Premier upgrade if Ford offered it in something other than black or red. Why they don't is a mystery to me. However, I didn't see that much of a difference between the two.

Wisht he guard came in other interior trims than the ebony. both red and yellow could look very good in that car.

Opinions, right? At $395 ($335 X-Plan) the Premier is the most cost-effective option on the car (unless you want the PP, there's a lot of value there, too.) I would have paid twice that without batting an eye; premier transforms the car from a Mustang to something far more than what it's been in the past. Every change is subtle and tasteful, but the combined effect on the look and especially the feel of the interior is huge. IMO.

Though it wouldn't kill Ford to offer a Dove Gray or something similar in Premier. They'd sell a ton of them. A LOT of people weren't thrilled about taking a black interior on a dark car.

i sat in both before i purchased mine and personally couldn't even tell the two apart, besides the stitching on the dash and that shit doesn't convince me to drop another $400

Agreed. Ford basically forfeited an extra $400 from me because Guard wasn't offered in premier trim unless you opted for the black interior, which I had zero interest in.
