Of course there are new features on a new car. Things are only new until the next one comes out. If this is something important to you, then wait for it. The new interior, IRS, and fastback profile were important enough for me to wait until '15 to get my Mustang. If the smudge screen turns you on, wait for it. If you're annoyed you can't have it because you already made your purchase, then welcome to planet earth.

At 67 yrs old now (kinda trippy to me) Planet Earth is on a fast track and it'll only get faster.

TV movies available all night? Thousands of hand picked songs in my pocket?
Can't even imagine what 40 more will do. I like it.

BTW Ford announced the Sync 3 for late 2015 (some models) and 2016 back in December of 2014 and the Engineer in charge said it won't be backwards compatible with MFT. New hardware and software.

Besides having to deal with a blinking yellow light on our hood when we make a left turn we'll be the Mustang Sync 3 lab rats until they get it right.:gossip::shrug:

Lots of times new hardware/software combo launches usually come with fixes not too long after the launch.

Sync 3 !!! no more outdated MFT !! Cant wait to have a touchscreen thats just like my iPad and iPhone with the touch capacitive screen and extremely fast responses.

10 hours a day in your Vehicle and you need to add extra electronic gadgets to encourage a little more distracted driving? If I get rear-ended by some fool who was busy texting or tweeting, I assure you, a simple apology will not do it for me. If and when it happens, (I`m) going to shoot a "real" Selfie" and it won`t be pretty!

I have disabled and put into default mode all my Ford Vehicles that came with either SYNC and/or MFT. I have absolutely no interest in either one regardless of what Version is being offered. I chose not to even set my dumb Cell Phone paired up with Blue Tooth or Gold Tooth either. Any incoming or out going calls can wait until I either reach my destination or safely pull (off) the road. Excuse me while I continue my search to locate a Pay Phone thats affixed inside a Phone Booth that still has (doors) in a day when ones phone conversation was assumed to be a private matter not subject for the public to hear or be part of.

The whole point of a good infotainment systems is that's it's more featurepacked and less distracting than other options (i.e. using a phone, changing CDs, taking out a map or squinting at a tiny Garmin GPS, etc..) I don't text while driving but with the proper infotainment setup you can do that relatively safely via voice.

I held off for a 2016 in part because of the Sync 3. I really look forward to when they allow Android Auto, as using Google Maps for navigation through the head unit will be great.

I don't understand what the big deal is--Once your phone is hooked up to Sync I don't see what else you need?

Those of you thinking this stuff is useless, you should remember, new technology is helping to steer your car, line lock, check lots of car functions without a dozen gauges and keeping you safer with ABS and rear view cameras that will cut down the number of times somebody backs over something just behind the car and close in.

I just keep looking for the new tech coming and hope they can keep it all interactive.

Voice control for setting the cruise control speed, inside lighting choices, and a host of other stuff we're still punching buttons for.

Every year they seem to add proven tech to cars that keeps us safer, makes our choices easier to execute without dash distraction and keeps others safe, like kids riding tricycles close to our rear bumpers when we are in the car and being in danger.

I'm not going to post my generalizations but hybrid, s550 vert, so Florida, hates new tech..... Seems like the stars are in alignment with my thoughts.


On topic I waited for a 16 for sync3. It's also why I decided to go premium instead of a stripped base.

Thanks for (not going there) but since you must be great at reading Tea Leaves, you already know that I`m a life long New England (Boston) Patriots Fan. I know your Sea Hawks & Russell Wilson`s pain. If your alluding to an age or generation gap, your right again! I went to Woodstock and saw the Doors and Jimi Hendrix, and Neil Young & Crazy Horse many times too. Just got back from Trip to Orlando last night where I caught a great Rolling Stones Concert at the Orlando Citrus Bowl for the 20th time.
