Meh MFT works for me. I don't really see the need to have all this phone stuff mirrored to the car. Bluetooth calls and stream audio are all I need from it. Hope they do some polishing on the UI cause I'm not feeling the look on the new one at all. Deff wouldn't have waited for this feature

CNET does an update review of Sync 3. Looks impressive just the fact that it will now finally have a touch capacitive screen will be so much better....just like our smartphones !!!

bleh, glad I have mft. WAY TOO MUCH WHITE. Looks terrible and will hurt eyes trying to read.

That's one ugly gui. I want my car to look like a car screen not a tablet screen. And poorly designed one at that.

I am okay as well with the current MFT. Hearing all of the rumors it sounded like Sync 3 was going to blow the current MFT out of the water but ...... I'm not seeing it. Sure, it's slightly faster and you can do AppLink via MFT but the GUI is still super ugly. Ford needs to hire some pro GUI designers stat.

I would have to think that what they have been showing is more of a "proof of concept" or Alpha version and that the GUI was just put in there to show off main features. There is no way a light colored screen like that would actually work very well in a car, especially at night.. That screen would be blinding and distracting even if dimmed down. I am sure that by the time the actual system is ready for production that the GUI will look more normal. If not then I am ordering a base radio! lol

It's not too bad at all but have very hard time understanding why would somebody wait months for it and not drive the car (which most likely is going to be exactly the same).

Are you buying the car to play with stupid infotainment or drive it ? I haven't really had time to even play with mine, prefer to go drive it. And Sync/MFT just works, seems to be nothing wrong with it.

It really depends on why you are buying a car I guess. I want something specifically for long trips with two of us in the car for hours at a time, so having the latest creature comforts is important to us. We already have a Taurus with the current version of myfordtouch and there are many quirks with it (although overall it works well). I would like to have something better if it's available. Plus I am a gadget guy and work in IT so you know how us nerds are!

Edit... by the way, I see you are in Cincinnati. If everything goes well we will be moving down near there in the summer. Probably Covington or Independence, KY area but working in Cincinnati.

Everyone has his priorities I guess ;-) I find myself not really doing much with MFT other than switching between Bluesville on Sirius and USB every once in a while...

I am ~20 miles north of the river (West Chester, OH) - two last winters were terrible here so you may want to rethink that ;-) And commute through Brent Spence bridge may suck...

Well coming from Michigan I am not too concerned about the weather. Anywhere south is good for me!

With the housing prices very inexpensive in KY plus my fiancee's daughter is going to be going to University of Kentuky this fall, we can take advantage of in state tuition rates.

I'm both a gadget nut and buying a car to last 10 years. MFT is already out of date in regards to the capabilities. Waiting for a 2016 (mostly finances, anyway, not just sync) isn't the worst thing.

Just the "touch capacitive" screen will be amazing, to be able to have it respond just like a smart phone, with pinch and zoom, etc will be a great improvement !!
