Can you confirm that ver 19274 has working 3D maps? Some people have been reporting this update broke or removed that feature of the NAV system.

I'm on the older version 190178. Never updated my maps but the software version screen says I have map version 118.
It is working perfectly fine for me.

I have maps 118 now, but still 19101. Where did you get the 3.4 update?

I know people.... visit places... 8)

For me 3D maps has been fine even with 1-18.... but I use Android Auto more....

Built in is for when I'm lazy or in places where I don't get Cel service...

My APIM is out of a 2019 Mustang , but I know of someone with an APIM that is from a 2015 that took 3.4 so it can be done... regardless of how you get it and update it, you risk bricking your APIM ... I thought I did, but after some perseverance (checking file names etc...) it did it...
THere are 2 stages, one formats the APIM so no going back, and the 2nd loads the data...

What I don't get is the need to format your APIM. I updated my 2019 with Sync 3 ver 3.3 to ver 3.4 using a single update from forum member Breeves. This one is behind by a few versions so if I want to update using the cyanlabs files, am I going to need to format my APIM as outlined in their instruction steps? Or is mine already formatted because I am running 3.4 now?

Just curious if anyone is getting the 3.4 update by auto update yet?

The APIM in your 19’ is the latest one so no need to reformat. The reformat is for the 3.0 folks.

Talked to Ford on Friday. They said it wasn't available even though I got a notification through My Ford Pass.
Yeah I got a notification too but it was actually for build #19025 which I already had. Ford’s update system is a major cluster.

That clears it up. I will just download the update files and I am good to go.

The 3.0 APIM was formatted into partitions that 3.4 couldn't use effectively... so it looks like Ford just did a new format (i.e. Partitions)
I'm told that the maps for 3.4 use multiple partitions, this is why it loads faster....

I wish I had Sirius/XM Sat to test that.... maybe when it's free again... 8)

I recentley updated to sync 3.4 via the cynlabs tool and want to go back to 3.3 19052. I found some files here https://my-ford-focus.de/en/sync-download-links-2/ but after preparing the USB is just sits on "installing updated". I let it run almost 2 hrs and nothing. Can someone help me with the right files and instructions?

I highly doubt you can use official Ford files to undo 3.4 which is still not recognized by Ford. You need to contact Cyanlabs to see what can be done. Good luck.

My 2020 MKZ-hybrid came with 3.4 (19274 I think) and 1-18 maps
I havn't pulled the update because I keep reading that 20021 is buggy... don't need 1-19 maps...

I think I will wait for 4.0 as I see a bit of talk about it now... I'm hoping that I can us it like it is designed (wireless AA for one)
but that I'm sure will be many months down the road.

Your 2020 has the official version of 3.4. There updating it to the latest version through Ford Owner should pose no issues. Those who had minor issues back in February were those who did the unofficial 3.0/3.3 to 3.4 update.

As far as Sync 4, who knows. Have heard different things. Some say yes to a version scaled down for our 8" screen. Others say no, 3.3/3.4 users will not be able to update. I guess we'll see sometime in 2021.
