ive been looking for drag wheels on and off, found this on facebook. thoughts on these? Since i only have an ecoboost and not a 1000hp v8, is there a point of diminishing returns with size? are these rims pretty light weight? is this an okay offset for s550? It looks like the seller had an s197

Should fit fine. Do you want a 28" tire and do you want an Hoosier like that and not something like an ET SS or 555 RII?

looking strictly for wheels at the drag strip, honestly they wont get used much, and i am just looking for something affordable. feel free to school me on tires, i also found these which are 555's but those rims look heavy and the tires are look more worn

Those might be for an S197 as well. Why not just get some race stars or SVEs when on sale. Buy rear wheels 1st, then tires, same for front. That's what I've been doing, little bit at a time

If you arent spinning then you dont need or want drag radials. And if youre running 12.7 I dont think youd spin on a decent track, idk for sure though. Tbrake isnt always better than just footbrake in launches either I think. Overall you may have better gains getting skinnies on the front, and definitely better gains if you are roll racing or not spinning.

first clip is my fastest pass with a 1.96 60', probably because it was like 60 degrees out. i don't see my car picking up a lot of power anytime soon, so will i able able to cut a faster 60' to get my ET down? after the 2-3 shift traction isnt an issue and could just be extra rotating mass.

My 17 x 9.5 Racestars are showing hairline cracks where the center section meets the rim. I'll never buy them again.

what do i need to know about running et street R's? cold/warm tire pressures? burnout time? TPMS won't freak out if 2 wheels are missing?

As to the TPMS- it will notice and complain but shouldn't affect anything else. You can tune out TPMS entirely with Forscan. I don't run any sensors in my aftermarket wheel sets.

First of all, none of those wheels listed are very light, but I understand being on a budget. They all should be slightly lighter than factory though. If you're auto, stay with a radial and at your power level you could run the Nitto r2 and still have decent wet weather control on the street. As for tire size, there are some variables to consider, like rear end gear. I doubt you need a 28" tall tire, but also know that is mostly what will be for sale. If possible, stick with the smallest tire you can get the traction needed with as it will be lighter and therefore faster.

the bronze ones above are what i bought. I have the PP with a 3.55 and totally forgot about first gear leave. is this going to be as big of an issue on an ecoboost as GT?

You should be leaving in first gear. 2nd gear leave is for cars making way more power.
