Let's just say I bought this car with the expectation it would have the best 0-60 than any of the other 2015 models because of the 3.73 gears and the wider tires. When I could not get the 4.4 to 4.6 second magazine published times, it was not because I didn't try. Hell, to get into 3rd quick enough to shave off tenths of a second (on track-apps timer), I super-speed shifted and might have broken 3rd as well as my gear shifter right off! That track-apps timer was giving me 0-60 times not even close to the 4.4 - 4.6 sec times. I was about to call bullsh!t on the specs for the GT PP, but noticed my stock car was just as fast as a 2014 GT (with a few mods including a tune, BOSS 302 intake, and long-tube exhaust). I also happen to live at sea level under warm temps year round and know how to shift as I've driven a stick for 15 years.

However, all that pain (fun?) of experimenting with the best shifts into 3rd was not needed as it turns out the GT PP track apps 0-60 timer might not be calibrated properly. When I found my old acceleration timer and did 7 runs today, I was amazed at how fast the car really is! It's true most of the runs did not make it to 60 MPH at the top of 2nd, they only hit between 58 - 59 MPH before the redline fuel cutoff (still considering to add 500 RPM to this factory setting). However, on a few runs, it did hit 60 MPH. So on with the numbers (3rd gear still needs fixing, so I obtained these numbers in 2nd):

So thank you Ford for making such a fast car giving me a 0-60 in 4.3 seconds with the GT PP. I don't trust the built-in track-apps timer in the 2015 GT PP at the moment, but was able to finally validate the magazine posted numbers in my own car. :headbang::ford::headbonk::clap2:

Now, I know it's the track apps not displaying any 0-60 results unless you go well over 60 MPH causing an issue on 3.73 gears. With a 4.30 second 0-60, I know I made the right choice in my car purchase. I will still eventually mod my car to make it faster, but I really needed to get the expected baseline performance first to know where I stand. That 4.3 second time made my whole week feel much better.

Just an update for the 2nd gear redline speed debate. It is as expected that the speedo has an error in it. At redline the GPS had my speed at 61-62 mph. So about a 3.33% error considering the car says about 60mph. Also makes sense, as I got a ticket for going 89 in a 70 in VA of all places. While I thought I was only around 85. Definitely didn't look like I was any where near 90. So if I was going 86 (to account for an error in my judgement as I'm not 100% sure how fast I was going since I was accelerating around someone in 6th gear, not crusing) according to the guage on the car, that would equate to going 89 with a 3.33% error as well. I normally don't speed in VA much over 5-8 over on I-95 much less near their critical 20mph over law. The Mustang 5.0 is quite intoxicating I must say lol. Anyhow end rant...and don't go over 80 mph in VA ever  I knew about the 20mph rule not the above 80mph rule.

So as a warning to all PP owners. Be aware your car isn't being honest with you about it's speed and you are going faster than you think you are.

I have got 4.9 one time, other than that i get 5.2 to 5.3 as the best and thats after reavideo hlly warming the tires up.I wonder how accurate that part of the trac app is also. But also guys keep in mind if its cold out below 45 degrees the p zeros are very hard to get to hook up.I have been doing 1/4 racing since i was 18 and i believe i have ran better than a 4.9 to 60 a couple times.Maybe someone that knows more about the accelerometer can chime In.Another thing guys I think 60 foot times would be a better tool to use to gauge how your quarter mile times could be.
I don't think this computer is right at all with the 1/8th and 1/4 mile times mine says I would run a 13.5 but I beat my buddies ss camaro pretty Damn bad

While I agree with you about there being an error in the apps, saying you beat your friend in his Camaro isn't conclusive evidence proving the apps wrong in anyway. One, you have Pro Drivers, then you have Legen- wait for it -dary Pro drivers, then you have really good drivers, good drivers, average drivers, not great drivers, bad drivers, really bad drivers, then drivers who should have there licenses taken away they are so bad, then you have drivers that should have their licenses taken away, eyes gouged out, feet and hands amputated kind of bad drivers.

Point being one driver being better than the other doesn't mean the app is broken lol.

Two, the regular SS is slower than the 5.0 Mustang, so you should beat him

I was always of the belief that OEMs overrated speedo readouts to protect their asses, like to avoid liability in the case of a speeding ticket being misjudged and what not.

Same here, and that has been the case with any other vehicle i've had including the CBR.

The gear ratio calculator I'm using is showing the 2nd gear only getting you guys with the 3.73 to 54mph with a 275/30-19, if that is what the tire is and if it's similar to the pirelli p-zero nero GT. (25.4" overall diameter not sure if this is inflated measurement or not on tire rack)

I autocross, which is why I didn't get the PP. We're pretty focused on the 2-3 shift. I also didn't want most of what was in the premium, so I have the base.

The 3.31 get's you to right at 60mph in the 235/35-18 Pirelli, or a 265/40-18 Brigdestone potenza RE-11

***edit*** R&T are using the 7k fuel cutoff. And it's a 275/40 tire. That shows to get you out to a 64mph top in 2nd. 59mph @ redline of 6500.

That will get me out to 68 at fuel cutoff and 63 at redline in the 3.31. A lot of courses I won't have to shift at. Nice.
