you are doing a great job 👏 well done
Thanks. I have an undercarriage sprayer as well. First wash of the spring when I know we’re done with salt is when I break it out. Works well

Just Saturdays!!! I am an insane fanatic on mine even if I don’t drive it. My wife thinks I’m insane. 2022 with 8000 miles now. I will be putting 2500 on it on the move though so she’s going to go over the 10K number.
Saturday, Sunday, sometimes Friday evening when I get home from work   Although a lot of times its just a rinseless spray and sponge bath to get off the dust. But when the weather is nice mine is out on the weekend.... Bought her with 4700 miles in September and fixing to turn 10K soon.

My 2017 looks new with 27k miles and doesn't have any rust. With the climate in Colombia there is no rust. I was a mechanic for many years in NY and did salt water boating. I sent photos to my friend when I bought it and we both said "wow, zero rust" and then the mechanic here did the RLCA bearings and sent me a photo of surface rust on the axle nut "this is really rusted". "What?? Thats nothing!" I'm used to frames rotting in 2 because of constant road salt blasts in the north. Every suspension job is with a oxyacetylene torch lol

It's my daily rain or shine and I live down a 1/4 mile dirt road. I drive through the auto car wash once a week, i won't even post a pic.

I'm pretty OCD when it comes to keeping my vehicles clean.

That said, I don't have a lift and I haven't jacked my Mustang up yet, (only bought it a month ago) to clean underneath it, the way that I want to.

Even at almost 56 years old, I still do all of my vehicle cleaning by hand, no pressure washers or sprayers.

I have the Adam’s undercarriage sprayer. Connects directly to a pressure washer. Worth the $$ if you want to keep your undercarriage clean IMO

I know everyone has their thing and people love what they love and it only has to make sense to them but help me understand....cleaning the undercarriage??

I get the functional side of this in areas that are prone to rust but to clean it just to clean it? It's not something one would interact with regularly let alone even see on a daily basis.

Not trying to be a jerk. Genuinely looking for understanding.

I do it every spring to get all the salt and crap out of there and will do it a couple times during the summer and fall. But beyond that, there really isn’t much of a reason other than OCD. Or if it’s a show car

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who obsesses over their cars. I'll admit that I don't take a tooth brush to the bottom, but I do wash it every weekend and put it away for the winter under a cover. I have an older Mustang that I drive during the winter months. And that one I've had for over 10 years and it was my baby before I got my new one. And I kept her as clean as I could and I still do and only now do I see some rust forming. Oh well you can't stop old age.

Keeping the undercarriage clean in a way is more important than the shinny side. The bottom is where all the functional stuff is. What's the point of keeping the top shinny and clean if the bottom side rusts out on you.

Tough to keep it clean this time of year, I daily mine. Was able to clean it a couple weeks ago (pictured). It’s covered in salt again.
