Interesting... the quotes I've been getting have varied wildly. When I got a quote for just a 2015 Mustang GT Coupe, with minimum coverage, it came out to about $113 a month, and with maxed-out coverage, it came out to about $150 a month. But when I spoke to them and gave them the VIN and window sticker showing all the options, etc., it jumped to basic coverage at $150 a month and maxed-out coverage at $230 a month.

When I asked the online configurator what the premium would be if I were to be garaging it at the place where I'm thinking of buying a house (which, admittedly, is in a flood zone), it said the monthly premium would be $322 a month.

So I guess the answer to any of this is "it varies."

Perfect driving record, Ive had them since I was 15. The guy who runs the branch is an avid car enthusiast so he gives me all sorts of discounts! Sounds like I'm lucky! Lol

Who did you check with? Based on personal experience, GEICO seems to offer the lowest rates in NYC and the surrounding area. Whether or not it's worth going with them is another story, but price-wise they're not bad. Also, the same thing happened with my '12 when I gave them the VIN. The price jumped significantly.

USAA.

DO NOT insure a car with USAA in Howard Beach, apparently.

i checked how much my insurance would be on a GT. less than $400 every six months with state farm (only $90 more every 6 months over my current veloster turbo-loaded coverage too)! Pays to have good record, live in the south, have house, cars, and jewelry on the pollicy!

I was blown away by how little of a difference there was. It's made the fever worse! A LOT WORSE

27, good record, one claim for vandalism last year. State Farm quoted me ~$145. Their rates go up every single year too, but their customer service is outstanding. Had GEICO before them and the rates were much lower, but you get what you pay for during a claim. Looking to find something in the middle for the GT.

Insurance cost

55 years of age, 1 point.

7,500 or less recreation mileage, full coverage.

Deductable = $100.00 comprehensive, $250.00 collision.

$119.33 a month.

$1,432 a year. That's with a multi policy discount of 3 vehicles and home owners insurance.

Welcome to the Republic of California. Here we charge by your zipcode. The zipcode in which I live has a...well lets just say a driving challenged demographic.

Points last for 3 years. I have 1 year to go and cost should drop, hopefully significantly.

This is true! I'm considering raising the deductable just until the point is removed from my licence. I do like having a low deductable though.

Jimmy, my opinion of your crazy nanny-driving aside, I would seriously consider lowering that coverage and getting a $5M umbrella policy instead.
I did this when we bought our boat 2 years ago.
