Had some hurricane damage from a large branch that hit my car and was wondering if there are drainage issues from this. Granted I was hit with a branch, I do park under a tree and need to review for clogs in the cowl area.

Please see pictures. I am leaning towards possible windshield seal is broken now. I am planning on looking over the cowl plugs, door drainage plugs, and door seals in the morning. I was getting huge amounts of condensation on the inside of the windshield which lead me to find a pretty soaked driver's rear foot area. I've read countless posts and curious about the damage probably caused this. Thanks!

First of all that's critical structural damage to A pillar and roof rail once AHSS is bent like that it loses 50% of strength so in a collision that A pillar will just fold.

They really need to remove the entire A pillar Rail C pillar section per Ford approved repair and replace. Or just fix it cosmetically and get a new car.

Yea, it is going to get repaired soon, I have a high deductible but that is fine with me. I am looking into appointments with Ford to get it repaired. Insurance quoted less than 2k which I thought was low. Thanks for the reply!

That's a $15K repair at least....removing and replacing entire pillar and rail section is a huge job and must be done to Ford repair procedure.

Technically its complex R&R Ford weld spots at prescribed temps plus adhesives used all without overheating and compromising strength......most ins would.just write it off, as they did one of my cars with even less structural damage.

I would demand a copy of Ford repair procedure before approving anything.

That’s far from a $2k repair…. Find another shop and/or Insurance Company, that’s structural…

——

If water is BEHIND the front seat, it’s not coming from the A-pillar or windshield. The water would pool at the front floor pan…

Here's the most common rear interior water leak threads, it should help with your concern. You may have the 3rd brake light water leak, which will allow water into the C-pillar areas.

CHECK THIS THREAD, it's for 3rd brake light leak repair with instructions:

Also here's more S550 water leak threads that may help if it's not the 3rd brake light:
