I've had serious problems with them in multiple orders. Wrong parts, damaged or missing items, no communication when processing returns. They are VERY infamous in the classic mustang community for poor service and problems, and are basically a punch line on the Vintage Mustang Forums. I quit using them a long time ago.

I’ve never needed to interact with CJPP’s customer service so I’m no help there. I will say, @LethalPerformance has some top notch customer service. Back when the Ford Performance floor mats got discontinued, I searched everywhere for them. I ended up in a chat on Lethal’s site (they showed them in stock) and one of the associates there took the time to go double check their warehouse to make sure they had them before I placed my order. Sure enough, they did and I placed my order. The person I spoke with must have grabbed them or something when he went and checked because I got the shipping email almost immediately after placing my order. So kudos to team Lethal on that front, you can actually talk to a real person at their shop.
Thanks for the awesome feedback and recommendation. We really appreciate it!!

I’ve ordered a fair amount from them over the years. Never had any issues. They are now owned by a private equity company (one of the reasons Bill left if I recall reading/seeing correctly at one point). My dad recently ordered the GT500 Swing through them, no issues. I haven’t ordered anything from them in about 6 months or so (dang I need to order some parts 🤣) but up to that point nothing but positive experiences. Keep on them for that refund, or try going through your bank to dispute the extra transaction
It just kills me to see great small businesses getting eaten up by these "private equity corporations" I've seen it happen time and again and they either scare the employees and customers away or take the business in a "new direction" that it was never meant to go. They usually have no understanding of their unique niche or target market.
Bill did leave. He saw the writing on the wall...

I agree, PE usually ruins good, small businesses at some point. Growth is definitely needed to sustain any business but when these larger firms get involved, it usually doesn’t work out long term. Which is sad.

I just bought the rear spring isolator supper and lower for my new springs coming in; and they double charged me after 5 days of my order, over drafted my account (I use a separate savings with money specifically for stuff) and I even paid extra for shipping so it like get here all at one time. And Nada.

I don’t get any helpful answers, I paid $21 for expedited shipping, and it’s been 5 days since my order and they haven’t even shipped it yet.

what a nightmare. I should’ve just ordered from lethal performance like I was originally going to. Good grief.

you guys have any bad experiences?
They sell too much stuff they don't have on the shelf.

+1. @LethalPerformance and LMR.com have always been my go-to for ordering parts

I've ordered from CJs many times and have never had a problem.

I have had nothing but warm customer service from these guys. Been doing business with them for over 5 years, and they are the first people I try to go to. If you had a bad experience, I can promise you that was an oddball fluke.

Head over to the Vintage Mustang Forums and post that. Make sure you bring a flame suit. I'll get the popcorn ready. 🍿

Odd. I got no reason to make it up. I've bought several thousand dollars worth of parts from them for my 16 GT and Mach 1 and it's always been great communication, super fast shipping and overall just simple. They're also a follower on my IG page and have featured my car a few times and shared some of my car stories.

I order from them once or twice a year. I usually only order from them though if the part I want is in stock at their west coast warehouse, since it is in the same city as me, I can get stuff the next day. Can't say I have ever had any issues with them.

Doug
I'm with you, live in the same city and ordered from them three times with no problems. Even when the order forms said 2-week delivery, the items were there next day. One time I was having trouble fitting some strut tower covers. As it happened, they were having their car show/customer appreciation day the next week. I polished up the car, attended and one of their guys actually fitted them for me.
Makes me wonder if possibly the West Coast warehouse does a little better...?

I ordered a cat-back exhaust system, got it in a timely manner, big box, installed then un-intalled because it was kind of loud for the wife, even though I had the shop put a resonator inline after the cats for a deeper mellower sound and it's sitting in my shed, brand new. Thinking about selling it. So overall the experience was good for me.

I ordered Qa1 carbon fiber DS during covid with no issues. And just purchased a set of GT350 voodoo heads in December with no issues. FedEx delivered the heads on two separate days which was annoying though.

People always trash AM and CJ but I've ordered probably 20+ items from both with no issues. Recently got a pair of brand new open box Roush fender vents for $100 off just because they were returned.
