I have 2016 as well, and the horn has always been touchy. Occasionally it'll work with a tap, but most of the time it takes a hard push, then you end up blaring-and it's loud. So I only use it in emergency. I never tried touching different areas, have to check it out

You might want to check before you eliminate -to my knowledge all S550s have a limited slip differential, my 2016 V6 definitely does. It'll be a Traction-Lok. This is from my owners' manual: HTH
