Glad to see that my experience wasn't an isolated incident. I developed a rattle (more like buzz) in the left most dash vent during acceleration. WHen I smack the top of the dash the sound goes away for awhile.

I was going to take it into the local stealership, but I think after your post, I may take it back to Quality Auto Mall.
I cant speak of their service department but i hooe it's good too. When i finally pick up my car i will get an assurance of any sort from my sales guy that if and when i come back for warranty issues that i want to be treated fair. I hear it time and time again that dealers treat you well when they are selling and crap after the sale is done.

Oh while im in this thread....my other dealer experience...

Who am i: male asian
Dealer: all American Ford
Where: hackensack NJ
Reccomend: no

Came in with my wife and a sales manager was on the floor sending customers to his minions. He asked me what i want, i said a gt 2015. He said theyre right there two of them, i looked it over, i said are these all you have (my strategy to appear that i dont want what they have that they have to lower their price for me to get those) he replied yeah what else you want. Overall just acting rude. He was spanish descent. He had enough of me so he sent me to an asian sales guy (go figure). Hahaha all along i want to special order my car cause i want gt premium pp red line interior and trim accent. So the salesguy got me near a number i can work with but i want it below 40k. Here comes the manager again pressuring me to leave a deposit, he'll do less than 40k but i have to give him my card so he can charge my card for $1000 non refundable deposit before we even agree on out the door price. I was like no way! I told him give me your price first then i'll give you my card. His reply was he didnt want to go back and forth from the table to his boss' office. I refused. He came back with a price of 398xx but no dmv title and licensing fee yet. I said I want out the door price. He came back with 403xx. I said that price is higher than if i agreed on your first number and paid the dmv fees. His reply was you should have taken it before. What a douche. Me and my wife got up and walked away. Weeks later theyre calling me saying they want to make a deal. I didnt want to give them my business and plus i already ordered from Quality Auto in Rutherford NJ and the experience was very pleasant. I felt good about ordering from there.
They lost business because of that floor manager.

The concept of rating dealerships already exists on a grand scale. Go to www.dealerrater.com and you can select car dealers by location and/or make. Read real reviews from real customers nationwide. Read up on all of your local dealers. Dealer Rater is so prominent in auto dealer reviews, that google uses them to feed into their reviews of dealership listing at google.

He then started to ask us if we knew about the "special features" of the new mustang, such as how they designed the hood so that when it rains, the drops form a "mustang logo" on the hood that appears when you unlock the car in the rain. I said, "that sounds completely unnecessary". I think he was talking about the mustang logo projection from the mirrors...
He's actually correct, referencing the hidden stamped pony logo underneath the hood. You have to remove the insulation to see it. The whole idea is that it'll show on the surface provided there's some kind of condensation.

Wow, the guy was so wrong on all other parts of the car (he also told us that it has a twin turbo, I told him that I think it's a TWIN-scroll, single turbo. He then told me it's different names for the same thing) that I didn't believe a single thing he said afterwards...

Anyway, I drive by that dealership every other day and I see the same '14 GT's sitting in the front lot and all the salespeople sitting alone at their desks through the window.

One of my negative reviews are of All American Ford, but their Paramus location. It sounds like lack of customer service training from top down for them. I forget which others, but the dealer I spoke to said that All American Ford own FOUR ford dealerships.

That's funny All American Ford Hackensack is where I bought my Mustang from. Guess I'll contribute to the thread.

Who I am: 25 year old white male shopped with my dad
Dealer: All American Hackensack NJ
Recommend: Yes

To start it off, these guys are the only ones to give me the price that I was looking for. Every other ford dealer in the area was very stringent on their price.

The way I actually got there was a classic bait and switch, though. I did some email negotiations and when I got there the car I wanted wasn't there and the price I wanted was unacceptable. They tried selling me to a base V6 without the 051a package for the price I was looking for. I negotiated for the 051a and got pretty close to what I wanted, but said no thanks and left.

Black Friday deals came along and I knew I could get a good deal on a V6 here so I went back but asked for a different sales guy. I ended up working directly with the sales manager and going back and forth until I got "an unusually low price" according to true car on a V6 they had on the lot. I left a refundable deposit and ended up picking up the car a few days later.

I bought the extended warranty for what I thought was a decent price but when I got home and checked the numbers they added on $400 to it for some bullshit registration fee. I've since canceled it. I guess they're like everyone else as they will try to screw you. But if you know what you're doing you will probably get the best deal from here.

Another good thing about these guys is their service. I had issues with my brand new car. There was a small dent and the catalytic converter was bad. They got everything fixed and ready to go ASAP and really went out of their way to keep me satisfied.

I recommend them because every dealer pulls the same bull shit bait and switch and tries screwing you when it comes to paperwork. Just know what you're doing and you can get a car for a good price here and get excellent service afterwards.

Thank you, that IS good to know.

But I started this thread because I agree with what Branden said,

You're right, a lot of the front lines guys are just inexperienced. You also have to remember, most of them are car salesmen, not Mustang salesmen.
I think some dealers don't know how to sell mustangs, or understand the concept of a Pony car. One salesperson told me when I inquired about the EB, "it's a MUSCLE car, why do you want a 4Cylinder? You should get at least a V6" and proceeded to tell me that they have lots of V6's. Another dealer said, "You are going to have to special order it because no one wants a 4cylinder mustang, they all want V8 or a V6". The same guy tells me few days later, "we can't seem to keep the EB in the lot!"

I read some of the reviews on www.dealerrater.com and although it is much better than yelp reviews, I wonder how much the type of car (and the "type" of person inquiring) has to factor in?

I only got a serious salesperson when the floor manager at Quality Auto Mall presented my salesperson with pride as the "mustang specialist". Sarcastic or not, the guy DID know heck of a lot about Mustangs. While they had three '14 GT's in the lot, he didn't even mention them as an alternative, and when I finally told him that some dealers tried to push the '14 GT vs. '15 EB, my salesguy gave me a laundry list of the pros and cons between the two and told me that he knew that I want the '15 EB.

Thanks Bay1stang!

I guess your post confirms one thing, that you have to have your head screw on properly before you enter this dealer, as bait-and-switch seems to be the norm for them...

While I do agree with you that most (7 out of eight I've tried) have been shady, I have to say that there ARE a few dealers where they do not resort to lowball tactics.

I owned Nissan's since '92, and I actually followed a Nissan service writer from dealership to dealership, and he once worked at Hackensack Nissan. I asked him about the Ford down the street, and this guy said that the service is great, but he wouldn't buy a car from them. And this was back in 2001!!!

Good thing I didn't go with All American Ford then. They would have bait and switched me and charged me some BS fees. What else they would have done. I didn't trust that floor manager at all. I'm sure their service department is different from sales. They are two different animals usually. Pyro, I got that from Quality auto mall too. I didn't get pushed to buy a left over. My sales guy knew I was there for the 15 GT. There are even '14 Rouches there but we didn't even discussed that.

Friendly Ford
Very satisfied

This is the first car I've bought from a dealership, and my expectations were pretty low. Friendly ford was incredibly good to me. They accepted x-plan with zero hesitation, gave me a phone number to call or text 24/7 with questions, and put up with all of my requests. The salesman they assigned me bought an identical Mustang the day prior and even took an hour to help me get used to manual, on top of the hour he spent driving across Vegas to come get me (I took a shuttle into town from AZ.) The dealership is extremely professional and competent.

I guess they have this figured out, because I know where I'm buying from next time. :D

Experience:
I've bought from them before (this is the 4th car since 2011 plus one my significant other bought), so take this with a grain of salt. Your experience walking in there not knowing them may be different. I understand Mustang is a "joy ride" kind of car and dealerships aren't interested in people that aren't serious about buying one. After looking at the web site I called to find out if they had any 2015s, because I had gone to another dealer that showed a 2015 in inventory and they had already sold it and had none in stock. I walked in and they had let my previous salesman Mark know that I was there. The Mustangs were in a storage location away from the dealership (Minnesota with salt and snow already on the roads). We drove down to look at them in the storage location. He let me sit in the cars and I started the one that interested me (after he suggested it). I came back a couple days later and test drove it. They had a great price and met my goal of what I wanted for my trade with minimal negotiation.

Summary:
My main recommendation is they price their cars well.

I so want to comment on this thread but I'm being patient, with my selling Dealer and with FORD. My Salesman was awesome, he was actually sick to his stomach about the experience....times running out for people to come to a solution that addresses the issues.
