Why not stop diminishing the value of the Mustang brand and either come up with a new name (GASP), or dig up another name from the past that *was* a 4 door? LTD or something?

That really looks like a Charger. If they do a real dash it might sell.

Now would be a fine time to resurrect the "Torino" namesake.

pretty sure ford already has an offroad horse. this is stupid.
Well, they've sullied the Bronco name by making it a brand, why not do the same for Mustang?

I have a feeling they’re moving towards making Mustang its own “brand” as I mentioned earlier with the likes of Ram, Genesis, etc. I, as a consumer, would be on board with that. As long as the traditional Mustang fastback/coupe and vert live on, I’m good with more Mustang brand options.

IMO, if that actually happens, that’s not brand diminishment, that’s brand enhancement. The Mustang name lives on, opens it up to a much larger consumer pool and we enthusiasts/traditionalists still have an option to keep us happy. Sounds like a good proposition to me.

Yeah, have to disagree Mags. Mustang would then mean nothing. It would have no identity. How about a Civic truck, or civic SUV. Destroys what a civic is.
But the civic is just an appliance, it has no heritage. So who cares if they make a civic truck or suv. While I agree, it would diminish the mustang name and heritage, it better to have it live on then to go to history books like the Camaro and challenger

If this is the four door, it wouldn’t be too bad.
That's a good photoshopping job there!
I wouldn't kick it out of my driveway.
