Street guys: even if you can’t use all you have, do you still want more?

We also don't have bendy roads or any good hills, but this is where family and home is at.
time to move. :)
And like the west-ho explorers of yore, the wimmin folk will be fully understanding, hiking up their skirts, and not a cross word uttered.

PS. I clearly have been watching way too much period drama/1819 and so forth.

Stock 460 hp with rear drive is plenty for me. If Ford made an AWD Mustang I'd probably be wanting to throw a Whipple on that puppy.

No, it wasn’t right nor fair but we sure took advantage of it. Similar antics today would probably yield an impound and incarceration.
The State I'm thinking about, all that changed when elected Judges had to be Lawyers.

I think it's an addiction for most of us always want more. I have 2 daughters. And with that being said, the younger one, took
more like me on the car side. She wants a early college graduation present. So we went out and bought her a 2021 GT 5.0 mustang brand new. She has it one year now, and loving it. Now she's asking if we can put a supercharger on😲🤔. So I told her when the warranty is up, I'll put a ESS_gen_3, on it. Mind u she is 20yrs old. So it's runs in the DNA I guess 😄

One can never have too much reliable power, most have too much right foot.

Always want more. If I could afford it I'd have a Pagani. And even if I had a Pagani, I would want a G5. And even if I could swing a G5, I'd want a SpaceX rocket.

There literally is no limit.

As much as I think I would like more horsepower, after several days around my son's GT500, I have come to the realization there isn't any place I can use the power I have. Traffic and aggressive law enforcement pretty much negate power. So it's mostly for the "biggest dick" contests.

Sometimes I really wonder if it’s just me. Or maybe it’s just the mentality of true car guys. But I have a hard time being satisfied with what I have. An S550 GT is probably as perfect for most people as a street car gets. In fact, it’s probably more car than I and most have the ability to fully use on the street, and I don’t do track. But, I now also have two Mach 1s and I’m even eyeballing GT500s.

I‘m a logical and reasonable guy so this makes no sense even to me. Seems like if something is out there I want it whether I need and can use it or not. And no, the problem is not what you’re thinking. But it is real.

Anybody else ever deal with this?

Hmmm, maybe just a little FI on one of the Machs…
Not just you, I think a fairly normal progression of a car enthusiast.

I've been salivating and dreaming about a CT5-V Blackwing manual for a while, damn well knowing I got no use for 668hp/659lbft when I can't fully safely & legally use 480/420 from my Bullitt on the street.

But I'll be damned if I don't keep dreaming.

He has a Z4 LOL
I googled Z4 and this popped up

What type of person drives BMW Z4?

This might be particularly true if you happen to own a BMW Z4, as research conducted by Admiral found that drivers of the model tend to enjoy cycling, DIY, and have only a 17 per cent chance of speeding. They also enjoy Top Gear.Aug 4, 2017

I used to have a Z3, the mustang is it's handling equal, if not better.

I think you are making that shit up!

I used to enjoy (motor)cycling, I'm still a DIYer and as for speeding BMWs have a bad reputation so we have to be on good behavior.... especially around here. Plus, I'm 80 years old, so I don't drive real fast anymore. When I was younger, I was on Wisconsin's Habitual Offenders list for speeding. I have never seen Top Gear. British TV personalities seem overly silly and dramatic.

I think they usually remove their turn signal stalks too, :)

Once a car for people in their twenties, BMW is now viewed as a car for those in their thirties and from a middle-class background.

All in good fun.

Seriously I was underwelmed by the Z3. I did have an M5 that was amazing. Had to get rid of it due to the Wife having back pain from the seats.
