That set up screams GT car (Think Ferrari 812, F12, etc...).

It's just going to be a supercar (if anything). I really think nothing will come of it. GM still hasn't beaten the GT, no need to reinvent the wheel until necessary (And they built the latest GT without the execs at Ford knowing).

it is going to be a "front mid". i think most people consider a rear mid/ mid being the same.

That's called a setback engine. Mid-engine is behind the driver, but in front of the rear axle.

Nope. I am with you. Not even remotely interested in even watching this reveal at this point. Ford again has missed the point entirely. Ford should make a Thunderbird C8 competitor-it will bring back that rivalry...that alone would build interest. I know I would be and by the time it gets to market I might be at a place in my life where a two seater would be doable for me. All a mid engine mustang is going to do is piss off Mustang fans (again). It needs to be reasonably priced too...the GT is a purpose-built halo supercar...not remotely the same.

I sent something to the Ford Mustang and Ford Performance social media folks earlier via Instagram and never heard anything back. I’m keeping an eye on the Ford Performance YouTube page

Wrong, a setback is when a engine is moved back behind its original mounting location (being it looks like drag racing is your thing you would think you should know this) Now mid engine is anytime the engine is mounted between the front and rear axle regardless of what your opinion is of the definition. There are cars that are rear mid engine(c8 vette) or front mid engine ( ferrari california). Both however are still mid engine.
