You didn't hurt my feelings, I was just clarifying that it has just as advanced technology as the Coyote, or more, actually, with the higher-end materials and Rotocast head manufacturing process, except in a pushrod configuration (speaking of the LT4 specifically). Overhead cam engines aren't exactly modern; the single overhead camshaft debuted back in 1902, and DOHC debuted in 1910. It's only a few years newer than pushrod, and not exactly a cutting-edge configuration anymore, esp. when it's physically larger and less fuel efficient (or at best similar fuel efficiency, despite a smaller displacement) than the "old" pushrod GM small block at the same hp outputs.Still a museum piece. Still based on an ancient design. I didnt say it wasnt effective. I know guys that can get a carb to perform just as well or sometimes better than fuel injection, but time to move on. DOHC is a way to make more power per unit displacement, but in a physically larger package, which is good for places like Europe where engines/cars are taxed based on their engine displacement. But, we don't have that problem in the US (not sure about Canada), so power per displacement is a meaningless metric here. It comes down to power delivery preference or other goals at that point.
I loved the gen 3 Coyote in my 2018 GT - wonderful, great engine - but not as good as the LT4.
