I've forgotten. How much does each PP1 wheel weigh? Got rid of mine 3 years ago.

I'm pretty sure there is a forgeline that gets you real close the the Carbon Fiber weight on the GT350R. I have some signatures at about 23/24 a pieces and when I go to my carbons at about 17/18 plus the increased stiffness, its night and day better. Its been so long since I had my PP1 car I cant imagine how that feels with factory cast wheels.

I agree, went from the OEM PP1 wheels and tires to the SVE X500 wheels and shaved nearly 40lbs of rotational mass, and you're right. It made the car feel so much lighter on its feet.
I went from PP1 to Forgestar CF5 and the difference is very noticeable. Like you said the car is lighter on its feet and accelerates quicker.

Sprung versus unsprung weight is real. Alloy wheels on my F-250 ride like crap unless loaded. Steel wheels will ride better on the truck but add lots of weight. On these Mustangs a light wheel puts more onus on good suspension components which is what you want.

my new Signature wheels weigh in at 23.8 for the rears and 24.2 for the fronts. 20x10.5 and 20x11.5.
Between the the weight savings in the wheels and the savings going to a 2 piece rotor, It got to be over 30lbs per corner. This keeps the driver from having to lose a few pounds! LOL

Agree 100%. It was a noticeable difference going from the original wheels to 19x10 Apex SM-10s.

Wheels and tires are the best upgrade anyone can do.

I got a set of Fikse 19 x 11's and they are about half the weight of the OEM wheels and make a noticeable difference at the track.

I've been looking for a set of track wheels to replace my PP1 wheels and save my all season tires. I like the Voxx GT50 wheels in 19X10. SVE makes a similar wheel that is 4 lbs. lighter, but $300 a set more. Is it worth it?

I would go with the SVE wheel. The Voxx wheel isn't even flowformed which is a minimum for me when I buy a wheel. Also the Voxx wheel with an ET40 isn't as aggressive fitment as the 35mm offset of the LMR SVE wheels. One thing though, the SVE wheel is available in a 20" only. If you go with the SVE R350 wheel than its 7lbs per wheel lighter and those are available in a 19".
