guys, I just want you to know… I love my Mach 1. I got a 2023 Premium A10 in mischievous purple with all options besides the HP because well… it doesn’t come on A10s so too bad too sad for me.
I’ve had it for 4 days and I’ve been stopped at a red light TWICE to let me know it’s the first time they’ve seen a Mach 1 in person….. my face contorted and created what I seem to believe is what we call smiles.
I had NO IDEA there was hate for the Mach 1… I wouldn’t understand why. It’s not suppose to be a Shelby but it’s also suppose to be & feel different enough and I hate to use this word… limited enough, to surpass the GT PP model. I believe it excels at just that.
Also, is the power ford says UNDERRATED ??? Stock numbers are high … 440-470 base stock on dynojets - that would mean crank is about 515-545 ish?

Great lookin Mach 1!
FYI - A10 is available on the HP Mach 1 as well.
I'm on a Flex tune running E85 so I'm probably 530hp crank since I'm 480hp stock.
I don't think Ford overrates HP on their cars like BMW does.

More like 425-430 rwhp. 470 with long headers. Great looking mischievous purple car :like:
Thank you so much for the kind words! Man, I might’ve been super biased when buying this car, because that paint job is what really sold me… Haha, I couldn’t be happier:handshake:

& also, thank you for the info and confirming the correct numbers, I suppose that makes sense ! I haven’t found much videos or even forum posts of base dynos, but the ones out there all seemed odd to me, on YouTube there’s 4-5 videos, claiming to only have the carbon filter removed - making those numbers like I stated, so 430 RWHP is more realistic? Not the 450ish I assumed.

I appreciate the kind words thank you! :) and I couldn’t agree more! It’s gonna be a while before I get tired of looking at the paint in the sun haha.
& I want to do e85 - after long tubes, that is if… i decide to even mod this thing haha. But I’ve heard that’s the way to go ! Those are some awesome numbers for E85 flex tune. The reason I thought of overrated numbers is because of the info/videos out there. Maybe they just aren’t saying the truth or the person running the dyno is trying to give extra smiles lol . But I saw 4-5 stock M1 (without the carbon filter only apparently) 450ish average. Though I do agree, I would never think ford Underrates vehicles, we know BMW is king of that haha. I was really curious if for some reason ford was hiding some of the power to not undersell the GT350 or maybe insurance reason haha, I’m probably crazy. I’ll get my stock M1 dynod after 1K miles for a peace of mind lol

quick question … - did you need a flex fuel pump/sensor for the e85 tune?

All dynos and conditions are different so number vary a lot. Dyno is really a tool for seeing gains.
So I ordered my flex tune from Livernois, didn't change anything out since the Gen 3 Coyotes injectors are E85 friendly. Sensors are in the computer, just not enabled on the Mustangs for whatever reason. Tune turns them on.

Thank you that’s really good info & all I needed to know! Yeah I don’t really care much about the actual number , I’m more curious about the underrated number by ford or not! That to me seems pretty interesting, because as we know, ford never does such things! E85 tune & long tubes is definitely going to happen soon. Seems decently cost effective!

Long tubes should give you another 20hp. personally I think the h-pipe is loud enough. The interior and exterior volume bump of headers for me is not worth the car being more impractical to use and wife not wanting to go for a cruise anymore. lol

Haha, I’ll be honest with you, I’m not a fan of extremely loud exhaust set ups lol & it sounds great already, I’m sure with the flex tune it sounds even nicer! But I do love numbers & those gains sound too good to pass on … lol I’m still indecisive, I may just leave it stock and get another project car to fill the need.

Coming from a GT350 owner here.

I don't get why people would have issue with Mach 1, it is a great car. It is position between well-equipped GT and Shelby series, and so it use parts from both sides. Coyote engine is quite reliable at this point and Shelby has great suspension/transmission, so that's a perfect combination for the car from where it sits in the line up.

You know you have a great car, you enjoy driving/owning it, that's all it matters. Don't care what other around you think, they don't pay for your car, so no reason for you to care, imo.

No one in my family really like my GT350, I told them "I paid for this car...and it's my car, not yours :cwl:"

At car shows I don't do much more than glance at modern muscle cars, unless they are over the top.

We are the classic example of the forgotten middle child.

After 18 months of ownership, a trend has emerged, at least in Western PA.

GT350 and 500 guys tend to look down on us because, well, we're not them.

GT and EB guys snub us because they think we are rich kids who can afford a nice car.

Every car show I go to, the only people who come to check out the car and lower themselves to actually talk about it are guys who at one time thought about buying one.

Was at a show today and everyone ogled the orange 1969 Chevy Nova next to me but 5-6 people asked about the M1 and almost all said they had thought about buying one. The winner for the "Modern Muscle" class was a 2014 Challenger with an engine cover that had a picture of a Coyote waving a white flag. A guy came over and asked me about the Challenger and I said just point us to the nearest twisty road.

BTW 18 mos and still have only seen 1 other in person, Cyber Orange 2022 last fall. If nothing else we are rare.

EDIT: Expectations recalibrated on page 6. Thanks to all for a better perspective.
Damn dude, if your not feeling car show love in a Mach 1, you’ve really got to feel sorry for the Mach E guys … :giggle: :bandit:

So far I have not really gone to many shows with my Mach 1, one small one where I live and ran it into the Grand Rapids show late here this year and didn't get it judged, not that I was looking for trophies or anything but just so people could check it out. I've still yet to see another Mach 1 as I've mentioned in a prior post and I've only ever received praise and compliments from anyone looking or checking the car out. If someone wanted to bad mouth my car I'd just ignore them and move on. I don't have time in my life for people being negative about anything let alone my majestic unicorn of a car :cwl:

And that's why Mach-E folks hang out with the Ioniq folks. 😬

Speaking of EVs, there's a video of Kyle Conner on YouTube carving out SoCal canyon roads with a Mach 1 HP like God intended. Great video. For some reason, Ford didn't want reviewers tracking or racing the Mach 1 HPs.

I don't Think its necessarily because of the Mach 1. IT's the entire car culture these days. Instagram and youtube have ruined the respect and community. Especially with the younger generation. When they scroll their feed and see crazy builds and insane high HP, then go to a cars and coffee or local show and don't see those same things, they aren't impressed.

This is a cool one. I love the shots where it's deep purple, but not many people get shots where you can see the blue in it. As to HP numbers, 420-430 seems about where the average is. You'll find some people who have 440s, but those are really more just "good dyno" days. Don't forget to look into removing your HC trap for the HP and torque dip the 22s and 23s have compared to the 21s. If you care to do so.

You can look at it from a different point of view. Everyone immediately recognizes the shelbys and the GTs, but only true fans appreciate the Mach 1. I was on a car and coffee yesterday and everybody was rushing to the GT500. Only the techie guy with the laptop came by and said "Will you pop the trunk for me, I want to enjoy it." Then he started asking about the diff and gearbox coolers and in the end he was "That's the true stock track weapon ford built. I would keep it as it is, only a bit of handling upgrades and track it as hell"

BTW there was only 1 Trans AM no body appreciated...
