I started looking up the years and if this is correct this is how many Mach 1's were built:

1969- 72,458

24.17% of Mustangs were Mach 1

1970- 40,970

21.48%
Out of those, I was a little curious to know what % of them came with the 428 and the shaker hood.

I don't know about you guys, but I quickly got tired of reading "Durr-hur, it's not a Mach 1 without a 428 and a shaker hood!" when so many Mach 1s came with a 2-barrel 351 (I've ridden in one), and there was a 390 option in between.

Out of 72,458 Mach 1s sold in '69, this article says:
"Only 10,080 of them were propelled by the 428 Cobra Jet."

That's 13.9% of Mach 1s having the biggest engine option.
...And 3.36% of 1969 Mustangs being Mach 1s with the 428.
