"2022" Mach 1's

Has anyone heard/read if Ford will be offering a 2022 Mach 1? Just curious since I have a 2021 Mach 1 on order and if things keep sliding to the right, I assume it will be cancelled or they may decide to offer a 22 Mach 1. Thanks, Marty

I don't think anyone from Ford has ever confirmed it'll be a 2-year model run, but I think it's a pretty safe bet.

The only thing that could potentially put a spanner in the works is the chip shortage. Heck, at the moment they're not building any Mustangs (which is why your date keeps getting pushed back, as I'm sure you're aware)......but the Mach 1 has proven popular and will be making nice profits for Ford, so if any Mustangs get prioritized for builds, I'm sure the Mach 1 will be high up the list.

last year, at Ford Nationals in Carlisle PA, i asked that same question, Carl Widmann (Ford Chief Engineer) replied this S550 mach1 will only be a two yr prod model (2021 & 2022). that said, i'm wondering what other exterior colors they have in mind for 2022.

Ordered mine 1/21/21 - estimated delivery to the dealer was 5/7/21 - as of now the delivery is TBD. Dealer is in the dark along with Ford.

That is bizarre. I ordered 2/20/21 and received the beast on 4/30/21. Does your dealer suck or what?

Also depends on what priority code your dealer ordered it as. Most of these orders are a 19 as a retail order. Anything lower would explain why you received yours quickly.

Possible we have different Mach’s - handling package on mine.

Comes down to the options. With supply issues certain options are going to move you back. I tried to make a last minute change to my order and add the rear seat delete. It would have delayed me until the factory shut down and who knows how much longer I would have waited.

So I just ordered a week ago and my production date is 11/22 so my question is will this be a 2021 or 2022...? Cause if it's a 21 I'll wait fro 22 not thinking kindly to buying a +60K car and have it delivered when their taking orders for 22's - asked dealer and hasn't answered yet.

I haven’t seen anyone say this is incorrect.
You wont get a 2022 unless you order after October 11 (from the Order cars sticky)

Information provided by our friend @amk91 (this info is subject to change)

1. Job 1 is supposed to be January 3, 2022
2. 2021MY ordering ends October 1, 2021.
3. 2022MY Ordering opens October 11, 2021
4. 2021MY Production ends on December 23, 2021
5. 2022MY deliveries should be next February, reaching possibly up to March 2022.

Do you have a VIN, the year is part of it, think 10th position, M=21.

I think I will just cancel this as dealer stated it's going to be a 2021. I can order a 2SS 1LE the way I want now and have it in October and it will be a 2022 and save $8K ... kind of a no brainer

I spoke to my dealer today in the UK and they have been told no more Mach 1s for the UK full stop!!
They had placed an order for their last one yesterday for March delivery.
