Well, it appears EF HUTTON just spoke. Points for those who get it.GT500s are grossly overpriced. GT350s are slow and overpriced. Mach 1s are slow and grossly overpriced.
Hi I’m 21st century google man, we obviously haven’t met.Well, it appears EF HUTTON just spoke. Points for those who get it.
Lol k boss lady.Glad I made you work for it. Now be nice or please crawl back in.
To me, the front end of a Mach 1 is hands down the best looking S-550 ever built, second would be the 15-17 GT, then the 350's, then the 500's and finally the 18+ GT.What did Ford do to piss off Mach 1 owners? For anyone who does not own a Mach 1, I could see being pissed off at Ford for taking away a car as nice as the Mach 1 and replacing it with something that does not look near as good, inside or out.
If they were exactly the same price, I would take a 2023 Mach 1 over a 2024 Dark House any day. I would pay significantly more for the Mach 1 because it looks so much better.
True I'm not driving mine too much, I got it 3 months ago and it has just 511 milesNow that I think about I have seen both Gt350's and 500's but the only Mach 1 I have seen was on a showroom floor.
You guy's must not drive your cars.
I know this post has been going on for a while, but thought I would throw my 2 cents in. I am not a big car show guy in regards to expectations. I like to walk and see whatever is there and perhaps find some unique builds to chat to the owners about. I don't consider a newer car (2015 to present) to be a show stopper/crowd grabber unless its a highly rare exotic or someone has done some extreme cosmetic or engine modification. I just can't sit in a lawn chair for the entire day with a car that I drive to and from car shows. It's one of the reasons I like Cars and Coffee vs car shows. You can drive in, park with the rest of the rides, chat and then leave whenever you want. The trophies are meaningless unless you are driving a classic that you've spent hours restoring- then they do have some value/reflection of the work you've put into it.Hmm I wouldn't say that I'm insecure, more like an unrealistic expectation for car shows... I went to shows for years when I didn't have a car to take, just to talk to car guys and check out different rides. I had similar expectations taking the Mach and in some cases that's still the way it is but for the most part not so much. Might go back to just going to shows as a spectator.
Why the centrifugal supercharger instead of say Whipple or Roush?Owning a 2016 GT350, I really dig the Mach 1 with handling pack. I tell folks that if I were in the market today for a Mustang that I knew that I would mod, I would get a Mach 1 six-speed with handling pack/rear seat delete in either Eruption Green or Fighter Jet Grey and do the following: ESS supercharger w/125 mm pulley, Soler Performance throttle body, LTH long tube headers with eCOF high flow cats, billet OPG/CG/timing chain tensioner, lightweight battery, lighter driveshaft, thicker front and rear sway bars, upgraded front end links, Steeda dual-rate springs, and BMR cradle lockout kit on 93 octane. That would be a nice weekend occasional daily making decent power. Nothing crazy.
I know you said to you and it's your opinion, but the two empty holes where lights should go that Ford put on the M1 grille is as bad as all the fake vents Toyota (I mean BMW) put on the new Supra. To me, the front end of a Mach 1 is hands down the best looking S-550 ever built
I believe the empty holes was homage to the original Mach 1.I know you said to you and it's your opinion, but the two empty holes where lights should go that Ford put on the M1 grille is as bad as all the fake vents Toyota (I mean BMW) put on the new Supra.
That alone makes it not a great front end, but I also hate the way there's big open empty "grilles" where the fog lights used to be and they are just pointless too.
Other years have dumb pointless elements too, but not as much as the M1 does.
FWIW GT350 is the best in my book.
All '69 Mustangs (1st year for the Mach 1) had quad round headlights with two just inboard of the grill, so yeah this could be an homage to the '69 Mustang. BUT, I have to be honest, the non-functional grill holes are one thing I do not like about the current M1. They should have put a set of driving lights or DRL lights or something to make them look like the holes have a purpose.I believe the empty holes was homage to the original Mach 1.
FWIW the BOSS 429 is the best in my book.
More like 425-430 rwhp. 470 with long headers. Great looking mischievous purple carStock numbers are high … 440-470 base stock on dynojets - that would mean crank is about 515-545 ish?
