so it s a coincidence that 2021 was "M". M was for Mach1 or Mustang I first thought, LOL.I quoted this from a member here , Yes P = 2023
btw after 2030 the chassis numbers are pretty lame. Just a number?

Definitely light in numbers for sure but I have a sneaking suspicion that Ford actually sold more Mach 1's than initially expected because of covid. Hear me out, when covid pushed the car market into the the chip shortage, manufacturers began making more higher end models with greater profit margins than base models. They had to use the chip supply strategically and were able to charge more to customers (then of course the greedy dealers wanted to upcharge "Market Adjustments" on top of it).because 21-23 was so light with Mach1 builds I wonder if it was planned or covid shutdown related?
Unless I’m mistaken, how do they get those numbers if Ford hasn’t released anything for 2021-2022?I started looking up the years and if this is correct this is how many Mach 1's were built:
1969- 72,458
24.17% of Mustangs were Mach 1
1970- 40,970
21.48%
1971- 36,499
24.39%
1972- 18,045

11.23%
1976-9,232
4.90%
1977-6,719
4.39%
1978-7,968

Total- 292,439

Someone knows a line worker, they quoted him in a previous topic.Unless I’m mistaken, how do they get those numbers if Ford hasn’t released anything for 2021-2022?
Beautiful. Now if we can just get a color breakdown. I don't even mind options right now just colors.Someone knows a line worker, they quoted him in a previous topic.
I’m going to take a SWAG at it and say my Velocity Blue based on the overall #’s single year color, maybe one of 2500. Let’s revisit that and see how it ages as we get more info. I’m really interested in the #’s for TO and TY also. They are also single release year colors.Beautiful. Now if we can just get a color breakdown. I don't even mind options right now just colors.
There’s a VB Mach in my area somewhere, I remember seeing it on my dealers lot about this time last year. It’s a really beautiful color. But there’s at least 2 of you out there now. But I agree, the single year colors will be the rarest most likely, especially the 2021’s with all the Covid delays and plant shutdowns.I guess that would make

I’m pretty certain the export models may be counted separately since they aren’t U.S. spec.
One of the members here posted the last ones made on Facebook, probably here as well. He's actually posted in this thread I believe. Pictures taken on the line. Also this question get asked A LOT. lolUnless I’m mistaken, how do they get those numbers if Ford hasn’t released anything for 2021-2022?
Velocity Blue might be rarer than that, maybe 1 of 700. So far the registry only shows 11% of 2021's as Velocity Blue. If you haven't viewed the registry yet it's: http://www.rqtekia.com/21-22mach1registry/I’m going to take a SWAG at it and say my Velocity Blue based on the overall #’s single year color, maybe one of 2500.
