My new Mustang was loaded by the transport driver this afternoon around 4pm at Ourisman Ford and I was told it would be delivered tomorrow. Around 6:30 PM I got a call from them saying they would like to deliver it 'tonight'. I asked what time. They said around..... 1AM (edit to add: technically 1AM is tomorrow). They have other cars to deliver and it would help them if they could deliver mine 'tonight'. Well.... Ok.

So almost 2am and I'm reading quick reference, etc and learning how to enable 'quiet' mode on the active exhaust so as not to annoy my apartment neighbors later this morning. :)

Not much, but I took it out from its winter spot and beat on it a little tonight(last night).

Damn had I missed the sound, the vibrations and response. Rev’d it out a couple times.

Came home and parked it for long term again. Today was the last of the 60s for the foreseeable future.

A happy yet sad day.

Congrats on the new S550! Also nothing like getting your Mustang sooner than expected!

Who did you use as a transporter?

Had to replace the battery. Only got 2 1/2 years out of the factory one.

I had the dealer handle the delivery details. My only requirement was to be flat bedded. No need for closed trailer/etc. After all, it's just a common Mustang. :) Ducking and running....

You can run, but you can't hide.

Nice looking car in the fastest color!

Since I f-ed up my stock intake tube I decided to replace it with the K&N series 57 kit. I already had a drop in filter but it came with one so I’ll sell it cheap for anyone thinking about picking one up. I still need to yank out the sound tube. Waiting on a plug to come in.

This piece can be plastic welded back together or you could use JB Weld for plastic. Just remove the entire piece and carefully epoxy it back together and let it sit over night and reinstall. I would also remove the hose clamp and replace it with a Corbin clamp available at your local Napa store for a much cleaner look.

Sweet. Looks like the deals at Ourisman just got a little less optimum but still well under MSRP, the $5500-6200 discounts have been significantly reduced.

Oh nice, thanks!

No problem. I like them. But, if I did it again, I'd just get the single line or double line of LEDs and not the pony design. There just isn't enough detail unless you are close to it. Like, you can't really tell what it is. Yes, it's on a mustang, so it's likely a mustang and that's what people will see, since they assume that. But, to me it looks like it has no legs and is just a floating, deformed, duck... or something.
And.... yeah. One is failing already, some of the LEDs are out or flickering in one of the housings, along with some moisture inside. Not worth saving a few bucks.
