Steeda has a year end sale so, ordered non adjustable pro action struts/shocks, ultralite springs, shock mounts, 1/8 spring spacers.
Ordered the Steeda pro action shocks and struts last night, to go with my previously installed Eibach pro kit springs. Thinking I should have ordered camber bolts or plates to install while I'm at it...

I don't even think self tapping screws would have prevented what has happened. Too much wind/air got under it and it just lifted the whole thing.

The only way I can think of that would have prevented what happened would have been:
- put cinder blocks around the pole bases
- use the old fill 1-Gal. milk jugs with water trick; using long rope, tether those to the top poles in strategic locations so that would have put tension across the whole unit, acting as a weight system to prevent a lifting event.

The milk jug trick also works with outdoor car covers - tether 1 full jug at each corner to prevent the cover from lifting or blowing off.
They make spiral hooks that you screw into your lawn they go 15-18" into the ground and you tie your canvas garage/shelter to them, side from a twister, it isn't moving. They were an extra cost option for my cover it (tm) canvas garage, but well worth the extra money.

Could be a broken valve spring.
I'll guess that something just didn't get re-connected. An O2 sensor or something like that.

Picked this shirt up in Tennessee. I love the quote on the garage, “A Stampede is Louder than a Heartbeat”.

Drove it 25 miles at city and modest 65-70mph in 5th gear then merged into 495 from Dulles Toll road and give it a healthy bit of gas and it immediately threw a Wrench and went into limp mode. ...
So 4 months of no car, 1hr of seat time, and back in shop for hopefully not major repairs.
P2118 Throttle actuator stuck closed. Factory warranty applied, part inbound.
I asked them to also consider doing a 'misfire-relearn-ford-neutral-profile-correction' since the battery likely lost all charge and the NVRAM was probably cleared. If they won't it looks like I can use ForScan to trigger it. And maybe the 3x 60-40 decel procedure.

Getting ready to through a few Steeda parts at the wife's 20. IRS braces, and vertical links. I would have thrown everything at it like my 16, but her Mustangs out number mine 3 to1. Have a few more Steeda parts to finish up the suspension on it.

whiteline IRS bushing inserts/lockouts really should be on the list.

Two months ago I installed this ebay suede armrest and e-brake cover to match the steering wheel. Just took the shoelace off the grip because the two halves would not close up. Seems fine now so I'm happy. The suede is bonded to very thin (3-D printed?) plastic shells and anchored with double faced tape. Sounds iffy, but ended up looking very nice.

Installed and working a treat. What I did not know was the original wheel was heated (I had no options to turn it on so must be a Forscan thingy for AU - not that we need it here, would be better if it was cooled lol…)
Everything went where it was meant to and worked after so smiles all round. Spent a while before I could hold my mouth right and release the airbag. Ended up trading in Allen key for torque driver and released pretty straight away.
Thanks to everyone who posted their Steering wheel choices, options and vendor impressions as these helped me land on a combination that suits me.
cheers

Bought a GT350R today…

In 1:18 scale 😎. Completes my S550 collection with the exception of a Mach 1 and a Super Snake, which I’m working on.

No pics but I just swapped my front pads to the Z26. Haven't bedded them yet, had to clean up and check something I have in the oven lol...

So I've read a bunch about needing spreaders for the pistons. I just took out all 3 pins and moved the rotor fwd and back to gain a little clearance to take out the old pads. All 6 pistons pushed in "fairly easily" with my fingers and thumbs. I say fairly easily in quotations bc trying to get my thumbs in there was a bit of a chore but the pistons moved easily.

LOL small world on the 500 poster and frame! I think I got it on Wayfair. I actually have 2 of those posters, one is in my son’s room above his headboard. Love your 50th poster, that’s really cool!
