This afternoon I swapped out my winter tires/wheels (the OEM 20x8.5" wheels and cruddy Goodyear All-Season tires) for my summer wheels/tires (Steeda 19x10 wheels and Continental ExtremeContact Sport maximum performance summer tires).
That implies buying the car as an investment. As many people have pointed out, it would be a terrible investment compared to investing the same money in the stock market.
The factory horn is embarrassing. Are there any replacements that sound more 'manly'? Not looking for a train locomotive horn, just something that doesn't sound like a Smurf tooting helium?
This morning I drove down to Tellico Plains and then up the Cherohala Skyway to River Rd and then I took River Rd up to Bald River Falls in order to test out the new front brakes. Brakes worked great but I did not push them hard. Yet. :)
I had the front brake upgrade done. From the default/base Ecoboost 12.5" rotors 2 piston calipers to 15" rotors with Brembo 6 piston calipers and Ford Performance pads. I hope this makes a big improvement in the high performance braking.
Next step is to deal with the sloppy suspension....
